Syrian army conducts successful operations against terrorists

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed many al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists in the northern countryside of Lattakia and has intensified operations against terrorist organizations outside Damascus, Daraa and Qameshli.

According to a military source, many terrorists linked to the al-Nusra Front were killed in operations carried out by army units in al-Sekkareyeh town that lies 55km north-east Lattakia city.

Erdogan regime’s support for terrorists

The source added that a terrorist hideout plus weapons and munitions were destroyed in al-Soda town near the Turkish border from which foreign terrorists affiliated to the so-called the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ movement, the ‘Ansar al-Sham’ and the al-Nusra Front infiltrate.

The same province [Lattakia] witnessed a rocket attack as terrorist organizations fired three rockets that hit the northern entry of Lattakia and Jeb Hasan area, causing material damage.

On January 28, a truck loaded with Grad rockets entered Syrian territories through Yayladagi town, according to the Turkish media outlets.

The Turkish Erdogan regime offers all forms of support to the terrorist organizations operating in Syria.

In another development, army units eliminated 9 terrorists in an area located between Tal Khazneh and al-Makhram al-Tahtani town in the eastern countryside of Homs which saw yesterday clashes between army units and terrorists trying to attack Jeb al-Jrah town.

The town of Jeb al-Jrah has sustained repeated attacks by terrorist organizations linked to the so-called the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ movement and the ‘Islamic Front’ which are supported by Saudi regime.

Weapons-laden truck destroyed

Last night, army units wiped out a weapons-laden truck near junction of Hannora town, about 40km east of Homs city, and carried out operations against terrorist groupings in Enq al-Hawa town and in an area located between Mnokh and al-Tafha towns, about 70km east of Homs city.

Many terrorists were killed and injured in the said towns, a military source confirmed, adding that army units destroyed a vehicle belonging to terrorists in al-Rastan area which is a major stronghold of the terrorist organizations, including the ‘al-Nusra Front’, the ‘ Homs Legion’ and the ‘al-Farouq’ battalions.

Another vehicle equipped with heavy machinegun belonging to terrorists was destroyed yesterday in Ash’him hill that lies east Khalkhala airbase, about 50 km north of Sweida city.

Two terrorist ringleaders killed

There were also intensified operations against terrorists organizations in the triangle of  Der al-Adas, Kafr Nasej and Kafr Shams towns in Daraa countryside as well as in Kherbet Ghazaleh, al-Hrak, Jasem, al-Shekh Meskin cities in the same province.   

The operations resulted in the death of many terrorists.

Further terrorists, including a ringleader in the so-called the ‘al-Haq’ brigade, dubbed al-Jbawi, plus another ringleader in the ‘ al-Forqan ‘ brigade, dubbed Abo Obaida Hjazi, were eliminated in clashes with army units in Khan al-Sheih town in the southwestern countryside of Damascus.

Meanwhile, army units conducted intensified operations against terrorist organizations on the outskirts of Ber al-Ajam town, around 18km south-east Quneitra city, and on the outskirts of Mas’hara town, about 22km east of the same city.  

The operations synchronized with inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists in Tal Stih, Tal Ahmad, Twarij and Taqtaq junction in the southern countryside of Qameshli and continuity of operations against terrorist organizations in Idlib countryside.

Al-Nusra Front ringleader beheaded

On the other hand, it was said that ISIS filed commander, dubbed Abo Abdallah al-Kosofi, was killed in Ayn al-Arab countryside, north of Syria.

Another terrorist ringleader in al-Nusra Front, dubbed Abo Hasan, was killed yesterday in Selqin city outside Idlib.

Terrorist affiliated to the so-called the ‘Sawaeq al-Rahman’ brigades claimed the abduction of Abo Hasan and beheading him in retaliation for what they called an attack on the brigades’ headquarters in several areas in Idlib countryside.
