Syrian army conducts qualitative operations against terrorist organizations in Idlib, arrives to outskirts of Abyad oil station in Hassaka

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has conducted qualitative operations against terrorist organizations in the north-western province of Idlib and has arrived to the outskirts of the Abyad oil station south Hassaka city, according to media sources.

The official news agency (SANA) reported today that army units carried out concentrated and qualitative operations against terrorist organizations south al-Bweti town and in Saraqeb city, which lies 19 km east Idlib city.

The operations resulted in eliminating many terrorists in the said areas, a military source confirmed, adding that army units pounded several terrorist hideouts in Bsames town in the northern side of Jabal al-Zaweyeh.

A leader in the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ Movement, his name Khaled al-Amouri, was reportedly killed in today’s operation against terrorist organizations in al-Bweti town.

In this context, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel said: “Syrian army targeted ISIS groupings in eastern and southern towns of Idlib, as helicopters hit the heart of al-Hol and Tal Hamis towns adjacent to the Iraqi border. “

It added that Syrian army warded off infiltration attempt by the ISIS-linked terrorists [known I Arabic as Daesh terrorists] from Sab’a Skor town, south-east Hassaka city, and from Tal Barod, west the city.

Several town on Hassaka-Raqqa road recaptured

A fresh advance was made by Syrian army on Hassaka-Raqqa road [known as Tal Abyad road] following three weeks of fighting.

“Army units in cooperation with popular defense forces recaptured several towns  on Hassaka-Raqqa road,” al-Mayadeen TV channel clarified, confirming that Syrian army arrived to the outskirts of the Abyad  oil station, which links  Hassaka and Homs refinery.

Syrian army closes in on the main stronghold of the ISIS in Jabal Abdulaziz in the western countryside of Hassaka, the TV channel’s reporter said.

Terrorist groups withdrew from town in eastern Ghouta

In another development, it was said that Syrian army regained control of Zebdin town in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus after the withdrawal of armed terrorist groups from it.

In central Homs province, Syrian army killed many terrorists in towns of Hosh al-Taleb, Ein Hsin and al-Blan and al-Waer quarter.

The Strategic Al-Blan town, which is located 20km north Homs and 21km south Hama, is one of the terrorists’ main stronghold in Homs.

The terrorist Takfiri organizations acknowledged through social networks that 4 of their members died  during clashes with Syrian army units in Homs countryside.

On the other hand, media sources said that the ‘Islam Army’  takes control of the Bab al-Hawa border crossing after fierce fighting with the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ .
