Syrian army conducts intensified strikes against al-Nusra Font hideouts in Idlib and Daraa
PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has carried out intensified operations against al-Nusra Front hideouts in Idlib and Homs and has destroyed over 19 vehicles belonging to them in Der Ezzour and Daraa, military sources declared Saturday.
The source said that army units carried out intensified and concentrated operations against groupings of al-Nusra Front, the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ Movement and the ‘Jend al-Aqsa’group inside Idlib city and eliminated dozens of al-Nusra Front terrorists in towns of Sermin, Jeda Bakfalon, al-Moqbeleh, Nahlaya and Qminas south of the city.
There were also other operations against terrorist organizations in Abo Duhur area, Tal Salmo and al-Hamedeyeh towns, which lie 50km east of Idlib city, and in Jabal al-Zaweyeh area as well as in Ma’arret Mesrin town, which is located on the road that leads to Bab al-Hawa crossing at Syrian-Turkish border.
Many terrorists were killed and injured in the said areas.
In the northern countryside of Hama, which is adjacent to Idlib province, army units targeted al-Nusa Font hideouts in al- Latamneh town, which lies 35km north of Hama city, and destroyed several vehicles belonging to them and to the so-called the ‘Ahar al-Sham’ Movement there.
As many as 13 terrorists were killed and injured in al-Lattamneh town, according to social media.
More terrorists were killed and several vehicles belonging to them were destroyed when army units carried out intensified strikes against the ISIS hideouts in towns adjacent to the Syrian Badia east of Salameyeh city in Hama countryside.
19 al-Nusra Front vehicles destroyed
Moving towards the south of the county, army units targeted one of the terrorist groupings in the Free market near Nasib border crossing at Jordanian border where many terrorists were killed and injured.
An arm cache plus mortar emplacements, 2 vehicles and heavy machineguns belonging to terrorists in al-Na’emeh town east of Daraa city were destroyed by army units, a military source said, adding that an army unit destroyed a weapons-laden car on Hrak-Mleha Gharbeyeh road.
More two vehicles belonging to al-Nusra Front were wiped out as army units pounded a terrorist hideout in Aqraba town in the same province [Daraa].
In Der Ezzour province, army units killed many terrorists affiliated to the ISIS [its Arabic acronym is Daesh] and destroyed 15 vehicles belonging to them in al-Saleheyeh quarter, according to the official news agency (SANA).
The agency confirmed continuity of military operations against theorist organizations in the countryside of Homs and Aleppo.
199 wanted persons surrender
On the other hand, SANA reported that 199 wanted persons from Homs, Hama, Damascus and its suburbs turned themselves in to the competent authorities for regularizing their situations.
