Syrian army conducts fresh operations in southern front, defuses 18 explosives on Homs-Palmyra road

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has defused 18 explosive devices on Palmyra-Homs road and has killed many terrorists in Daraa, Quneitra and Damascus countryside.

A source at Homs province declared today that Syrian army’s engineering units defused 18 explosive devices that were planted by the ISIS terrorists in Hannora area, about 75km east of Homs.

Each of the explosive devices reportedly weighed 10-15kg.

Last March, an army unit in cooperation with the competent authorities defused 10 explosive devices east of Palmyra city.

Moving towards the south of the country, army units struck al-Nusra Front hideouts in the northwestern countryside of Daraa and in the western countryside of Quneitra, according to the official news agency (SANA).

Two cannons plus vehicles belonging to the al-Nusra Front terrorists were destroyed in the southern edge of Kafer Shams town in Daraa countryside, a military source said, adding that army units targeted one of al-Nusra front outposts in Daraa al-Balad in the same province.

The US, Israeli, Saudi, Qatari, French and Turkish intelligence agents run the Amman Military Operations Command (MOC) which gives orders to terrorist organizations operating in Daraa and Quneitra countryside., according to world media reports.

Yesterday, army units carried out several concentrated operations against terrorist organizations in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus where many terrorists affiliated to the so-called the ‘Ajnad al-Sham’ and the ‘Islam army’ were killed and injured.

Terrorists of Jordanian, Yemeni and Palestinian nationalities were among those killed in the operations, SANA reported.

It added that Syrian army and the Lebanese resistance destroyed several vehicles belong to terrorists in Flita barrens in the northern edge of Qalamoun mountains on the Syrian-Lebanese border.

While in the eastern edge of the mountains, precisely in Jirud town, army units killed many terrorists and destroyed weapons belonging to them.

In Idlib province, army units withdrew from Ariha town after fierce fighting with large numbers of al-Nusra Front terrorists, military source declared.

Separately, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that the Kurdish people’s protection units drove ISIS terrorists from al-Mabrokeh town after they recaptured from the same terror organization [ISIS] 14 Assyrian town in Hassak province in cooperation with the Syriac Military Council.
