Syrian army conducts accurate operations outside Daraa, Damascus

PROVINCES,(ST)_Over 25 terrorists have been killed and injured in a qualitative operation in Zabadani city outside Damascus amid reports of eliminating a terrorist military leader in Daraa province.

According to the official news agency (SANA), army units killed and injured yesterday more than 25 terrorists in a qualitative operation against one of the terrorist hideouts in al-Mahatta quarter in al-Zabadani city.

The operation synchronized with clashes between an army unit and an armed terrorist group in Harasta suburb where many terrorist were mowed down and quantity of weapons and munitions were destroyed.

Further terrorists, most of them linked to the so-called the ‘Islam army’, were killed in continuous intensified operations against terrorist hideouts in Duma area in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and in Jobar quarter near Damascus.

There were also other intensified operations against terrorist organizations’ sites in towns of Jasem, Inkhel, Athman, Qerfa, al-M’sefra and Tafas and in Daraa al-Balad and Wadi Jlin in southern Daraa province.

Large numbers of terrorists were killed and injured in the operations which also resulted in wiping out mortar emplacement, bulldozer, rocket launcher, armored car, a vehicle equipped with heavy machinegun, weapons and munitions belonging to terrorists.

Terrorist military leader killed

A military leader in the so-called the ‘Soyof al-Islam’ detachments that affiliates to the ‘al-Forqan’ brigades, his name Shehada Ibrahim al-Bashir, was killed in Kafer Shams town outside Daraa, according to activists.

Elsewhere, army units inflicted heavy losses upon terrorist organizations outside Idlib, Hama and Der Ezzour.

On the other hand, it was reported that the Kurdish People’s protection units recaptured 8 towns south and west of Ayn al-Arab city, which lies north Syria.
