Syrian Army celebrates the  49th anniversary of the epic of October War of Liberation

All formations of the Syrian Army celebrated on Thursday the 49th anniversary of the epic of October War of Liberation that was waged against the Zionist enemy.

The formations’ leaders made speeches on this occasion, asserting that the Syrian army, under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed forces, President Bashar Al-Assad, will continue to restore peace and security to all areas in Syria.

The speeches were followed by military parades and a visit to cemeteries of Martyrs by officers, where wreaths were laid at the memorials on behalf of President Al-Assad, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The officers also visited the wounded in hospitals, wishing them speedy recovery.

October War of Liberation, which was led by the late president Hafez Al-Assad, was a historic milestone as the Syrian Army destroyed the Israeli entity’s myth of its indomitable army.
