Syrian army and national forces defeat ISIS terrorists in Hasaka

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has defeated ISIS terrorists in Hasaka city, as military operations have continued in the countrysides of Daraa, Damascus, Idlib, Aleppo, Homs and Hama.

According to the official news agency (SANA), army units in cooperation with popular defense groups in Hasaka city recaptured Ghweran al-Sharqi quarter and cordoned off ISIS terrorists in small areas inside al-Nashweh and Villat quarters into which they infiltrated last Wednesday.

The ISIS terrorists were inflicted heavy losses in the said quarters over the past days due to the steadfastness of the forces that were defending Passports and Immigration headquarters and the central prison.

“The ISIS terrorists failed to infiltrate into other quarters in the city during their repeated attacks,” a source in the province said, adding that quarters of al-Saleheyeh, al-Nafti, Tal Hajar, al-Nasera, al-Sena’a, Marsho and the heart of Hasaka city are safe.

The Syrian army units’ advance in Hasaka city synchronized with eliminating scores of terrorists in Salim, Al-Qnitan, Edon, al-Jammaleh and al-Hdaj in Hama countryside ands in and outside Aleppo as well as in Der Ezzour province.

Well over 40 ISIS terrorists, most of them were of foreign nstinalities, were killed in a qualitative operation carried out in Qoreyeh area in Der Ezzout by popular resistance in the eastern region 

Further terrorists were killed in airstrikes carried out by Syrian warplanes in Abo Duhur, Mjas, Ihsem and Shnan in Idlib countryside.

Vehicles plus arms caches destroyed

In the central region, army units destroyed two vehicles belonging to the ISIS in Palmyra countryside and foiled terrorists’ infiltration bid into Abo Alaya town in Homs countryside.

While in southern Daraa province, army units destroyed arms depots and mortar emplacements belonging to terrorist organizationsin Tal Sh’hab, al-Sora, Ibta’a, al-Ghareyeh al-Sharqeyeh and Aqraba.

Solidarity stands

Separately, SANA reported that peoples of Qameshli city in Hasaka province and Izraa city in Daraa province stages solidarity stands with Syrian army in confronting terrorist organizations.
