Syrian army ambushes terrorists in southern front, kills large numbers of them in Hama and Idlib

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has ambushed an armed terrorist group on the administrative boundaries between Daraa and Sweida provinces and has killed large numbers of terrorists in Hama, Idlib and Palmyra.

Most of the terrorist group’s members were killed in the ambush that set up today at dawn in al-Shami farm, south-east of Braq town on the administrative boundaries between Daraa and Sweida provinces, a military source declared.

It added that some terrorists were apprehended and weapons and munitions belonging to them were seized.

The area links Daraa and Sweida has witnessed several bids of infiltration by terrorists from the eastern countryside of Daraa towards Badia through al-Lajar area.

Back to developments in the southern Daraa province, the official news agency (SANA) reported that army units killed many of al-Nusra Front terrorists in al-Kassara town, which lies 55 km north of Daraa city, and pounded several outposts belonging to the al-Nusra Front and the ‘al-Mothanna’ Movement in Daraa al-Balad.

Further terrorists linked to the same terror organization [al-Nusra Front] were eliminated during a qualitative operation carried out by army units in Khan al-Shieh and Beit Tima areas in Damascus countryside.

Airstrikes on ISIS outposts

While in the central region, army units killed dozens of ISIS terrorists during airstrikes on the outskirts of al-Shaer and Jazal field and near Habra al-Gharbeyeh and Ezeddin towns in Palmyra countryside in the eastern countryside of Homs province.

Add to that, army units killed large numbers of terrorists and destroyed dozens of vehicles belonging to them in Hama countryside and in Idlib countryside.
