Syrian army advances inside Zabadani city, strikes terrorist organizations in several areas

PROVINCES,(ST)_Since the beginning of this month, Syrian army has made progress on several fronts and has killed over 195 terrorists in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

The progress manifested in recapturing many buildings in Zabadani city outside Damascus, all areas in Hassaka city plus Zaizoun thermal station in Hama countryside and Marj al-Zhour town , Foro town, Tal Hamka nad Tal A’awar  in Idlib countryside.

The recapture of the said areas and buildings was made after eliminating scores of terrorists.

Further terrorists were killed in the northern countryside during intensified airstrikes against terrorists organizations in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

Over 195 terrorists were killed during the airstrikes, according to death tolls reported by the official news agency (SANA) since the beginning to August.

Today, a military source said that an army unit killed 5 terrorists and wounded 8 others during concentrated operations against al-Nusra Front terrorists on the outskirts of Bradon dam in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

Terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front, the so-called the ‘Ahrar al-Sahel brigade’ and the ‘Sultan Abdulhamid brigade’ spread in the northern countryside of Lattakia and most of them have been infiltrated through Turkish border with the support of the Racep Tayyip Erdogan regime to attacks the Syrian state and people.

The Turkish regime also supports terrorist organizations in Aleppo and Idlib which witnessed today airstrikes.

The airstrikes resulted in the destruction of several hideouts and vehicles belonging to terrorists in Maaaret al-Noaman, Jisr  Esh Shugur, al-Bahsa areas in Idlib countryside and in Rasm al-Abbod and Tal Istabil in Aleppo.

32 terrorists killed 

Moving towards the south of the country, army units killed many terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front in al-Jahira square in Bosra al-Sham, about 40km east of Daraa city, and in Em Walad town in the eastern countryside of Daraa as well as in Daraa al-Balad.

More than 32 terrorists, including Libyan, Jordanian and Lebanese mercenaries, were eliminated in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and in Darayya city in Damascus countryside, according to a military source. 

While in the central region, army units pounded hideouts of ISIS terrorists in al-Qaryatain town, Palmyra and east of Jazal gas field in Homs countryside.

ISIS captures 100 Christian families

The Lebanese-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported last night that ISIS terrorists captured more than 100 Christian families in al-Qaryatain town, while  1400 families were displaced.

It added that ISIS terrorists abducted over 230 persons from the town.

As for Zabadani battle,, army units in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance advanced on al-Ztot and Barada axes after they regained control over Masjed Barada quarter in the city, according to the al-Mayadeen TV channel.

Zabadani area is located on the southern end of Qalamoun, about 50 kilometers northwest of Damascus and 12 kilometers northeast of Lebanon’s Masnaa border crossing.
