Syrian army advances in many areas in Damascus countryside

Provinces,(ST)-The Syrian armed forces continued carrying out a series of special operations in many areas across the country in which a number of terrorists were eliminated and their weaponry was destroyed.

Army units achieved a progress in chasing the terrorists towards Rima farms to the southwest of al-Nabek city in Damascus Countryside, an official source told a local media.

A 23 mm- anti-aircraft gun and two of the terrorists’ cars loaded with weapons and ammunition were destroyed in the area and many of the terrorists were killed .

The source added that other units of the armed forces clashed with terrorist groups in Maaloula town, killing and injuring many members of them.

The eastern Ghouta witnessed successful intensive operations resulted in killing and injuring large number of terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammunition in al-Dulbeh and Deir Salman towns, according to the source.

Meanwhile, other units of the armed forces advanced in the towns of al-Bahariyeh, al-Abbadeh, al-Ghreifeh and al-Qissa after they destroyed many of the terrorists’ dens and killed several of them.

A terrorists’ grouping  was destroyed in Erbin, while a den containing an amount of weapons and ammunition was destroyed in al-Ebb farms.

In Harasta city, an army unit pursued members of an armed terrorist group to the east of the Police Hospital and killed two of its members.

Units of the armed forces also clashed with terrorist groups in Daraya city, killing and injuring many of the groups’ members.

In the meantime ,army soldiers set an ambush for many terrorists in the western mountains of al-Zabadani city killing ones from Libya and Saudi Arabia.

In Damascus city, an RPG launcher was destroyed and the shooter was killed in addition to a number of other terrorists in Talet al-Mestah in Barzeh neighborhood.

A number of other terrorists were killed in Joubar neighborhood.

In the countryside of Lattakia province, units of the armed forces eliminated an armed terrorist group and destroyed three cars one of them loaded with rockets in Kinsibba village.

Other army units also killed large number of terrorists and destroyed a store containing big amount of rockets, mines and explosive devices in addition to three cars loaded with heavy machine guns in al-Ghnaimiyeh village.  

Many terrorists including ones of Tunisian and Pakistani nationalities were eliminated and store of mines and ammunition in addition to 11 cars loaded with weapons and ammunition were destroyed in villages of Lattakia’s northern countryside.  

Units of the army eliminated terrorists who were trying to attack al-Kindi hospital in Aleppo, destroying their groupings dens with their weapons and ammunition .

A big number of terrorists were killed or injured at the towns of al-Wdihi, Handarat, al-Khanat , al-Nakareen, Khan al-Assal, al-Marja and al-Mansoura, according to a military source.

The source added that the army destroyed a number of cars loaded with weapons at al-Kastello, near Aleppo central prison.

Clashes also erupted with terrorists in the neighborhoods of Salah al-Din, al-Zibdiya, Bustan al-Qasser and Souk al-Khabia in the old city, killing scores of terrorists there and destroying their weapons and ammunition.
