Syrian army advances in eastern Aleppo

Aleppo, Daraa  – Army units achieved a new advance in hunting down the Takfiri terrorist organizations in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo City, restoring security and stability to al-Sheikh Saeed neighborhood.

A military source said that units of the Syrian army in cooperation with the supporting forces and allies had taken full control of the neighborhoods of al- Sheikh Saeed, al-Shahadin, Housings area, Karem al-Afandi, Karem al-Da’da’ and al-Salehin reaching to Jiser (bridge) al-Hajj, al-Jlom, Bab al-Maqam, al-Firdous and Qal’et(citadel) al-Sahreef, SANA reported.

 

The source added that army units are pushing into the neighborhoods of al-Kallasa, Bustan al-Qaser and Souq al-Hal and chasing down the fleeing terrorists to al-Sukkari, al-Mash’had, al-Ameriya and al-Ansari in a big collapse of the terrorists’ morale.

The source clarified that engineering units of the Syrian Arab Army are dismantling landmines and explosives which had been planted by terrorists in the streets and squares before the escaped the grip of the Syrian Army.

Army units, in cooperation with the supporting forces, also restored security and stability to the neighborhoods of al-Firdous and Karm al-Da’da’ in the southeastern part of Aleppo City, according to the reporter .

Daraa

Army units directed heavy blows to the gatherings and positions of terrorist organizations in Daraa al-Balad area and the western and northern countryside of Daraa southern province.

A military source said that the blows concentrated on the terrorists” positions in Daraa al-Balad area, to the west of Air Defense Battalion and in al-Yadouda town in the northern and western countryside of the Province, killing big numbers of the terrorists and destroying a number of their vehicles.

The source pointed out that the terrorists Ibrahim al-Mahameed, Mostafa al-Masalmeh and Mohammad al-Khateeb were identified among the killed terrorists.
