Syrian army advances further in Zabadani and Idlib

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has recaptured 8 buildings in Zabadani city outside Damascus and Tal Hamkeh area east of Jisr Esh Shour in Idlib countryside, as operations against terrorist organizations have continued in the southern front and in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

According to the official news agency (SANA), army units in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance recaptured today 8 buildings west of al-Jam’eyyat quarter in al-Zabadani city, which is located north-west of Damascus, close to the border with Lebanon.

The fresh progress came a month after army units and the Lebanese resistance regained control over quarter of al-Jam’eyyat west of al-Zabadani city and quarter of al-Seltaneh east of the city.

Another progress was made by army units in Idlib countryside, according to the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel, which reported that Tal Hamkeh area east of Jisr Esh Shugur became under the control of Syrian army.

The TV channel’s reporter clarified that Syrian army is moving towards Frikeh town in order to retake the strategic hills east of Jisr Esh Shugur area in Idlib countryside.

In another development, army units carried out concentrated operations against terrorist organizations in Bani Zied, al-Hatab square, al-Khaledeyeh, Bistan al-Basha, al-Layramon, the old city of Aleppo and al-Shiekh Sa’ed quarters in Aleppo city where many terrorists were killed and injured.

Further terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusr Front [Jabhat al-Nusra] were eliminated in the southeastern countryside of Aleppo and in the western countryside of the same province as well as in the northeastern countryside of Quneitra and in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

Clashes with ISIS terrorists

Add to that, army units clashed with ISIS terrorists that tried to infiltrate into al-Harfosh farm south of al-Haqef town and killed an armed terrorist group affiliated to the same terrorist organizations [ISIS, also known as ISIL or IS] in Al-Qaser town, about 60 north-east of Sweida.

While in Palmyra countryside, army units destroyed several ISIS vehicles and killed many terrorists.
