Syrian army advances further in Hasaka, kills 2 terrorist snipers in Daraa

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has driven ISIS terrorists out of sport city and cultural House  in Hasaka city and has struck terrorist organizations in Idlib and Daraa, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency reported today that army units in cooperation with internal security forces regained control over sport city and cultural House  in Hasaka city.

The fresh progress coincided with airstrikes carried out by Syrian warplanes against the Jaish al-Fateh’ terrorists  in Abo Duhur, Taftanaz, T’om and Maatert al-No’aman areas in Idlib countryside.

The Jaish al-Fateh, or the army of conquest, is composed of terrorists from the al-Nusra Front, the ‘Soqor al-Sham’, the ‘Jend al-Aqsa’, the ‘al-Sham’ legion, the ‘al-Haq’ brigade, the ‘Sunni Army’, the ‘Ajnad al-Sham’ and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham Movement’, which are linked to the Saudi regime.

Moving towards the south of the country, army units killed two terrorist snipers in refugees’ camp and destroyed two cars belonging to them east of al-Kahraba’a square in Daraa al-Balad.

Further terrorists were eliminated as army units carried out intensified operations in the eastern edge of Daraa city, according to a military source,

The source added that army units pounded several hideouts belonging to the al-Nusra Front terrorists in Sida and al-Naemeh towns and in the eastern edge of Bosra al-Sham east of Daraa city.

While in the central region, army units in cooperation with popular defense groups advanced yesterday towards Palmyra triangle and recaptured the farms surrounding driving school.

“Many ISIS terrorist were killed and 4 cars belonging to them were destroyed in the said area,” a military source said

Terror attack in Homs

Separately, SANA reported yesterday that al-Nusra front terrorists fired rockets and mortar shells on al-Qabo town, about 3km north-west of Homs city, and on Folla town in the southwestern countryside of Taldo town, killing a person and wounding several more.

The terror attack caused fire in agricultural fields in the said towns.
