Syrian Arab Republic Delegation to Geneva Intra-Syrian Talks Discusses with Ramzy Constitution Basket

GENEVA, (ST)- The delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic, led by Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari on Monday held a meeting with UN Deputy Special Envoy for Syria Ramzy Ezzuddin Ramzy within the framework of the fifth round of Intra-Syrian talks in Geneva.

 Today’s meeting dealt with the constitution basket. The Syrian side presented to the UN deputy envoy a paper containing basic principles for correctly starting dialogue on the constitutional process.

 Ramzy is due to show the paper to the other parties in preparation for approving it.

A second round of talks was held on Saturday between the Syrian Arab Republic’s delegation and the UN special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura within the framework of the fifth round of Intra-Syrian dialogue in Geneva. The talks dealt with terrorism fighting, according to sources close to the United Nations.

During the meeting, the delegation presented a paper on ways to combat terrorism, the sources said.
