Syrian Arab army wounds al-Nusra Front Emir and kills 20 terrorists in Qalamoun, tightens grip on terrorists in Daraa

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has tightened grip on terrorists in several areas in southern Daraa province a day after it killed 20 terrorists in al-Qalamoun area outside Damascus in airstrikes, according to media sources.

The official news agency (SANA) reported today that army units continued pursing terrorist organizations in several areas in and outside Daraa and tightened grip on them after killing large numbers of them.

The agency quoted a military source as citing that army units eliminated many terrorists on the outskirts of Nawa, al-Smaqeyyat, Deir Adas, Bosra al-Sham, Beit al-Jamal, East Athman, north Ebta’a, southwest Qerfeh towns in Daraa countryside and in quarters of al-Abazid and al-Mansheyeh in Daraa al-Balad.

Other military sources confirmed the death of many terrorists in several areas outside Idlib, Hassaka and Homs and in and outside Aleppo.

The Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel said that 7 terrorists were mowed down when Syrian army warded off terrorists’ attack from al-Layramoun area in Aleppo, adding that there were clashes between Syrian army and armed groups near Aqrab town north Homs.

No information were reported about the result of the clashes.

7 al-Nusra Front field commanders killed

In another development, the al-Mayadeen TV channel pointed out that the leader of the ‘Fajr al-Islam’ brigade, dubbed Abo Talal, and another senior leader,  dubbed Abo Ali Amon, were killed yesterday when Syrian warplanes struck gunmen’s sites in Jrod Flita .

The strikes also resulted in wounding Al-Nusra Front Emir in al-Qalamoun, Abo Malek al-Talli, and killing 20 gunmen including 7 al-Nusra Front field commanders.

“As many as 30 gunmen were wounded in the strikes,” the TV channel’ s reporter affirmed.

In Idlib countryside, dozens of terrorists died in an explosion inside an arms cache belonging to them near a school in Talmans town.
