Syrian Arab army wards off attacks on military posts in Der Ezzour, Daraa and Idlib, kills dozens of ISIS and al-Nusra Front terrorists

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has warded off ISIS terrorists’ attack on military posts in Der Ezzour city and has  killed dozens of al-Nusra Front terrorists in Daraa countryside, military sources declared Saturday.

The sources confirmed that Syrian army killed dozens of terrorists affiliated to the ISIS [its Arabic acronym is Daesh] as they were trying to attack military posts in al-Jabal area near al-Ommal quarter [workers quarter] in Der Ezzour city.

More ISIS terrorists were eliminated in Hwejet al-Mre’eyeh town, about 10km far away from Der Ezzour city, one day after the Syrian warplanes destroyed 5 armored vehicles and 4 cars equipped with heavy machineguns belonging to the same terror organization [ISIS] in al-Mre’eyeh and al-Jefra towns.

Two days ago, a military Emir in the ISIS plus dozens of terrorists were mowed down in quarters of al-Sena’a and al-Sheikh Yasin in the same province [Der Ezzour].

The ISIS organization announced through social networks names of 18 of its members killed in Der Ezzour.

Concentrated strikes

While in southern Daraa province, there were concentrated strikes against terrorist organizations’ sites in Athman and Ibta’ a towns north Daraa city and in Nawa city north-west the city as well as in Bosra al-Sham, about 40 km east the city.  

A military source said that dozens of al-Nusra Front terrorists were killed in Nawa city.

It added that army units mowed down many terrorists trying to attack a military posts near al-Sheikh Meskin town and in Qerfeh town.

Leader of the so-called the ‘Osod al-Tawhid’ battalion was among the terrorists killed near al-Sheikh Meskin town.

In another development, Syrian army targeted terrorist organizations in several areas outside Homs, Hama and Idlib where many terrorists were killed and several hideouts were destroyed.

Further terrorists died during their attack on a military post in Kafr Shlaya town, which lies north-west Jabal al-Zaweyeh, about 24 km far away from Idlib city.
