Syrian Arab army wards off attack on military post in southwestern countryside of Damascus, targets terrorists outside Homs and Idlib

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has warded off terrorists’ attack on a military post on the outskirts of Khan al-Sheih town in Damascus countryside and has struck terrorist hideouts outside Homs and Idlib, media sources reported Sunday.

The sources said an army unit warded off terrorists’ attack on a military post in Hosh al-Abbaseyeh area in Khan al-Sheih town in the southwestern countryside of Damascus and killed many terrorists.

A military source said that the army unit destroyed a vehicle belonging to terrorists in the confrontations.

Over the past weeks, army units killed large numbers of al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists during their attempts to attack military posts east al-Salam highway in Damascus countryside.

In another development, army units killed today many terrorists holed up in al-Rastan city, about 24km north Homs city, and in al-Msherfeh town in the northeastern countryside of Homs.  

Further terrorists were killed when army units targeted their groupings in Abo Duhur, Tal Salmo and Talab  areas in the eastern countryside of Idlib and in Zaizon town in the western countryside of the same province as well as in towns of Hloz,Ein al-Bardeh and al-Jdedeh al-Foqani outside  Idlib.

Syrian warplane crushed

Last night, a warplane crushed as it was landing in Abo Duhur airbase outside Idlib due to bad weather.

The warplane’s crew members were martyred.

The number of the crew was 35, according to the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel.

Israel fires 2 missiles on Quneitra

On the other hand, a military source declared that an Israel helicopter fired two missiles from the occupied territories on al-Amal farms in Quneitra province, killing 6 and wounding a boy.

The source added that Israeli attack aims to support terrorist organizations.
