Syrian Arab Army Targets Terrorists’ Stronghold in Idleb, Continues Operations Outside Homs and Daraa

PROVINCES,(ST)_intensified military operations have been conducted in several areas outside Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Daraa and Idleb provinces in the past 48 hours.

According to military sources, the operations resulted in inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists and killing big number of them.  

Ringleader of the so-called the ‘Daoud’ brigade was among the terrorists killed in an operation that targeted the stronghold of armed terrorists groups near Sermin town in Idleb countryside, the official news agency (SANA) said.

About 42 terrorists killed  

Last night, the army units eliminated 17 terrorists and hit dozens, mostly belonging to the so-called ‘Daoud’ brigade and ‘al-Mohajerin’ battalion, in Sermin area outside Idleb province.

Twenty-five more terrorists from the ‘Soqor al-Sham’ brigades, died when the army units targeted a hideout for terrorist groups to the east of Kafrhaya in the same province [Idleb].

In addition, the army units crushed many al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists in Kaferlata and Mantef areas, wiped out two arms caches for terrorists and thwarted terrorists’ infiltration bid into a garrison in Jannet al-Qora area.

Most of the terrorists killed in the said areas were of foreign nationalities.

Another infiltration bid by terrorists from Talbeseh and al-Rastan areas into Tal al-Salasel and Em Sharshoh in Homs countryside were also foiled by the army units.

Tunnel near Damascus

In another development, the army units discovered yesterday a 300-meter long tunnel linking al-Qabon quarter and the heart of Jobar quarter near Damascus and struck terrorist groupings in the Eastern Ghouta, Khan al-Sheih and al-Zabadani areas outside Damascus.

Many terrorists perished there.
