Syrian Arab Army Targets Al-Nusra Front Hideouts outside Damascus, Kills Large Number of ‘Islamic Front’ Mercenaries in Idleb

PROVINCES,(ST)_Military sources said on Wednesday that the army units conducted a concentrated operation against al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists outside Damascus and crushed large number of terrorists outside Idleb, Daraa and Aleppo provinces.

The concentrated operation targeted hideouts for terrorists from al-Nusra Front in the surrounding of Isal al-Ward town in Damascus countryside. It resulted in destroying various types of weapons and munitions for terrorists and killing many of them.

One of the al-Nusra Front’s ringleaders, called Abo Hasan Abo Tah, was among the terrorists killed in the hideouts.

Another hideout containing weapons and munitions for terrorists in Zamalka area in the same province [Damascus countryside] was obliterated in a concentrated operation where a ringleader reportedly died.

The operations coincided with pursuing terrorists in the farms of the strategic al-Mliha town, KafrBatnana, Jesrin farms and Duma and clashed with armed terrorist groups in Darayya outside Damascus.

Many terrorist were killed and injured in the said areas.

At the same time, the army units pressed ahead with warding off armed terrorist groups’ infiltration bids into safe areas in northern Aleppo province and struck several terrorist groupings in more than eight restive areas as well as destroyed cars for terrorists in al-Arbeh, al-Meselmeyeh, al-Shqef, al-Hedareyeh, Tal Jben, industrial city and Blas areas.

Other terrorist groupings were targeted on Daraa-Tafas road and in al-Kassara area and in Daraa al-Balad in southern Daraa province as well as in al-Ameqeyeh, Jesr al-Abyad, Bezeh farms, Qminas and near Beshlamon and KnesetNakhleh towns in northwestern Idleb province.

A lot of mercenaries, mostly belonging to the so-called the ‘Islamic Front’ organization, perished in Idleb province.
