Syrian Arab army takes control of the terrorists’ last stronghold in al-Qusayr

PROVINCES,(ST)_Units of armed forces continue hunting down foreign-backed terrorists everyplace and inflict heavy losses upon them.

Today, the units of armed forces took control of the eastern al-Bweda town, which is the last stronghold of terrorists in the northern al-Qusayr countryside (in the central Homs Province), after cleansing it of terrorists. 

This victory coincided with intense clashes broke out on Aleppo-Idlib road, Der al-Asafir town and Sheikh Maqsoud area in Aleppo city resulted in eliminating more than 40 terrorists.

At the same time, the units of armed forces pounded several hideouts of terrorists in the surrounding of Meneg airbase, Aleppo central prison, al-Layramon, and Khan al-Assal areas.

In Damascus countryside, unknown number of terrorists has been reportedly killed in a series of qualitative operations targeted terrorist groupings in Babbila, Harasta, Doma, Khan al-Sheih, Darayya, Htetet al-Terkman, and al-Hseneyeh areas.

Terrorists quarrel over loots

On the other hand, quarrel broke out between two terrorist groups in Yalda town (outside Damascus) over sharing stolen money ended in the death of 10 terrorists. The terrorist groups’ leaders are among the dead.

In the southern Daraa province, a military source stated that a unit of armed forces confronted armed terrorist groups’ bid to attack a garrison in Inkhel city.

It was also reported that other terrorists were killed in the eastern quarter of Bosra al-Sham and in al-Mahatta quarter and surrounding of Refugees Camp in Daraa city.

Elsewhere, the units of armed forces crushed dozens of al-Nusra Front-affiliated terrorists and destroyed their weapons outside Idlib, Der Ezzour and Hama provinces.

Jordanian, Kuwaiti, Egyptian and Saudi terrorists are among the dead.

Meanwhile, units of armed forces confronted terrorist groups that tried to attack locals of al-Qahtaneyeh and Jebbata al-Khashab towns outside al-Quneitra.

A military source stressed that a terrorist leader and many of his men were killed in the confrontation, adding that a unit of armed forces repelled terrorists’ attempt to detonate 10 explosive devices planted on Damascus-Quneitra road.

Terrorist attacks in Homs, Quneitra, Qameshli

In a separate incident, at least 7 citizens have been martyred and several others wounded in two terrorist car blasts in Homs and Quneitra provinces.

The first car blast took place in al Adawi quarter near ‘al-Mokhles’ monastery in which tens of displaced families are living. “It caused martyrdom of 7 citizens and serious damages at the scene,” an official source said.

While the second happened inside an industrial complex for repairing cars in Khan Arnabeh city (outside Quneitra) and left wounded.

Nearby buildings and shops were reportedly damaged.

Another terrorist attack took place in Qameshli province as terrorists detonated an explosive device planted near al-Zohor square leaving 5 citizens wounded.

Syria is facing a foreign-backed war that aims to weaken the Syrian Arab army and destroy its national economy to serve Israel’s interests in the region.

The US, France, Britain, Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia supply the terrorist groups, which perpetrate heinous crimes against citizen and destroy Syria’s infrastructure, with arms, money and media coverage.
