Syrian Arab army take control of towns in Aleppo and Homs countryside

PROVINCES,(ST)_Calm restored to Banyas countryside amid reports of the Syrian Arab army’s advance in the central and north provinces.

The two towns- al-Baida and Ra’as al-Nab’a – in Banyas countryside are now calm after the Syrian Arab Army defeated the armed groups there, according to the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV Channel.

While, the Damascus-based al-Watan newspaper focused on the army’s advance in Ben Zayd alley in Aleppo province which is an important site to enter the west areas of the city. 

Locals told the paper: “the units of armed forces have started to cleanse homes in the alley, north-west Aleppo, from gunmen.”

In the same north province, the armed forces captured Hrebil town, which is located on the road of the Aleppo International Airport, two days after cleansing 6 towns on the same road from terrorist groups.

SANA reported that big quantity of terrorists’ weapons and ammunitions were destroyed in Aleppo countryside.

In Homs countryside, the units of armed forces took control of al-Sallomeyeh town and surrounding farms north al-Qsir countryside. 

Elsewhere, it was reported that the units of armed forces shelled today several hideouts of terrorists in Der Ezzour province and Idleb countryside.

Unknown number of terrorists is killed in the shelling, while other terrorists were killed during a quarrel between them broke out over sharing loots in Selqin city outside Idleb.

On the other hand, a unit of armed forces arrested two members of al-Nusra Front terrorist group and killed the others in an ambush in Htetet al-Terkman in the Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside.   

Other terrorists were also reportedly killed in al-Mleha and Ashrafeyet al-Wadi , Adra, Zamalka, Harasta, Doma, and Ein Tarma areas in the same province.

 Meanwhile, competent authorities, in cooperation with locals, seized weapons in a hideout of terrorists in al-Heffeh town in Lattakia countryside. 

In another development, terrorists fired a mortar shell on a residential area in al-Qassa’a in the capital.

The shell landed in al-Mawasem square left a woman wounded and damages at the scene.

Syria is facing a foreign-backed war that aims to weaken the Syrian Arab army and destroy national economy to serve Israel’s interests in the region.

The US, France, Britain, Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia fund and support the terrorist groups, who perpetrate heinous crimes against citizen and destroy Syria’s infrastructure
