Syrian Arab army strikes ISIS sites outside Homs and Der Ezzour

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has continued hunting down ISIS-linked terrorists outside Homs and Der Ezzour, media sources reported Monday.

The official news agency (SANA) said that army units carried out strikes against ISIS sites in Rhom town in the eastern countryside of Homs where many terrorists were killed and injured.

More ISIS organization’s gunmen were eliminated when Syrian warplanes hit the organization’s sites in al-Mohasan, al-Mre’eyeh and al-Ashara towns in Der Ezzour countryside,  according to the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel.

Blast kills 5 terrorists

Five ISIS terrorists died in detonation of an explosive device attached to their car in al-Ashara city in the eastern countryside of Der Ezzour, the Syrian TV channel  confirmed.

ISIS organization is a terror organization known as Daeh in Arabic and it perpetrates brutal crimes against civilians in several areas across the country.

The Alikhbaria Syria TV channel quoted today media sources as citing that the ISIS organization prevents displaced young men in the eastern Aleppo countryside from aid to force them to fight alongside it.

‘al-Wafa’a army’

In another development, the Damascus-based al-Watan newspaper said people of Duma city in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus formed the ‘al-Wafa’a army’ [Loyalty army] to fight alongside the Syrian Arab army against the armed groups.

“Recently, Syrian army ensured safe exit to hundreds of families, including gunmen, from the eastern Ghouta under reconciliation process,” the paper added, indicating that the situations of gunmen were regularized by the competent authorities.

Al-Nusra Front arrests protesters and withdraws from town

In al-Rastan city, which lies in the eastern countryside of Homs, hundreds of people protested last night against al-Nusra Front and other armed militias and called them to leave their city.

“Al-Nusra Front arrested several protesters,” media sources said.

On the other hand, al-Mayaden TV channel reported that al-Nusra Front withdrew from Beit Sahm town in Damascus countryside in accordance with reconciliation deal reached in the area.
