Syrian Arab Army Seizes Weapons and Wipes Out 5 Arms Depots in Homs

PROVINCES,(ST)_At least five ringleaders have been eliminated in Damascus countryside amid reports of obliterating five arms dumps and confiscating a weapon-laden car in Homs province, media reports says.

In details, Units of the armed forces eliminated today five ringleaders in an operation  against the terrorist groupings in the suburbs of al-Qabon and Jobar- a few kilometers away from Damascus- and in al-Etaibeh farms (in  eastern Ghouta) as well as in al-Hseneyeh town(southern Damascus countryside).    

Well over 20 gangsters also died in al-Etaibeh farms, according to an official source.

The source noted that the armed forces continued cracking down on al-Nusra Front-affiliates in the eastern and western parts of Ma’aloula town, killing many of them.

On the other hand, the Syrian TV channel said that the armed forces wiped out a self-propelled anti-aircraft missile (SPAA) near ‘Samsan’ School in Harasta suburb, pounded a hideout of terrorists in Hajjira area and clashed with a terrorist group in al-R’haybe town.

It added that many terrorists were killed and injured in al-Eb farms in Doma area and on the road linking al-Betra town to Jerod area as the armed forces targeted hideouts there.

Other hideouts and groupings of terrorists were shelled in the quarters of al-Qarabis and Bab Hod and in tows of al-Rastan, Talbeseh, al-Shendakheyeh, Jbab Hamad, al-Dar al-Kabira, Beit Hajjo, and Ein Hsen in central Homs province.

A military source confirmed that five arms caches were destroyed in the areas of al-Holeh, Talbeseh, and al-Ghanto.

While an official source said that the competent authorities seized a weapons-loaded car at the entry of al-Waer quarter in the same province (Homs). The weapons were stashed inside a car  coming from Qara town outside Damascus.

Big losses

Around 192 km to the north of Homs, precisely in Aleppo province, the armed forces crushed dozens of terrorists and destroyed five weapons-laden cars plus three rocket launchers.

 Monday operations, according to an official source, were carried out in Khan al-Assal, Qebtan al-Jabal, north of al-Nayrab camp, surroundings of the central prison, the industrial city, al-Ramoseh, Kweres, al-Jadedeh, Salaheddin quarter and on al-Kastilo-Aleppo road.

Mortar attack kills 5 workers

In a separate incident, at least five workers were martyred when a mortar shell landed on the General Company of Construction in Harasta suburb.

The shell,  fired by terrorists, caused serious damages to the company.
