Syrian Arab army restores stability and security to towns outside Damascus and Homs

PROVINCES,(ST)_More towns outside Damascus and Homs provinces have become under the control of the army units that thwarted terrorists’ infiltration bid into the Palace of Justice in Aleppo province and eliminated many terrorists in an ambush in Homs countryside, according to military sources. 

The sources declared today that the army units imposed full control over Raas al-Ein town, to the south-west of Yabroud city in Damascus countryside and al-Shwehed town in the western countryside of Homs in the wake of eliminating the last remaining terrorist groupings there.

They confirmed that a host of foreign-backed terrorists were killed and a quantity of weapons was destroyed in the said towns.

The locals of Raas al-Ein and al-Shwehed expressed their joy after the army imposed control over the towns and flushed out terrorists from there.

In a further development, the army units mowed down many terrorists in an ambush to the west of al-Zara town, wiped out four boats loaded with weapons, eliminated three terrorists and hit 5 others near the cultural center in al-Rastan city and destroyed an arms cache in central Homs province. 

Aleppo Palace of Justice  

They also foiled an armed terrorist group’s infiltration bid into the Palace of Justice in northern Aleppo province and hit most of the group’s members, according to a military source.

The source added that the army units targeted terrorist groupings in areas of al-Sakhour, al-Shaar, Hanano, Bestan al-Qasr, surrounding of central prison, industrial city, Handarat, al-shiekh Zayat, Fifan, Kshish, Andan, Bani Zeid, Khan al-Assal, Urem, Ezan, al-Mansoura, Kafr Hamra, Kafr Halab, Dahret Abdraboh, Khan Tuman, surrounding of Kweris, al-Jadedeh, and Rasm al-Abbod in Aleppo and its countryside.

Other terrorist groupings in Saraqib, Felon, Ariha, al-Mnezel, Kafr Najd, Rab’a al-Joz, Maaret Hattab outside Idleb province and in quarters of al-Hamedeyeh, al-Sheikh Yasin, al-Jbeleh, al-Sena’a and al-Hwiqa in Der Ezzour province were struck by the army units.

Several cars loaded with weapons and munitions for terrorists were destroyed in the said areas.

While in Damascus countryside, the competent authorities confiscated a car loaded with munitions for armed terrorist groups in Beit Tima.

The car was confiscated on Qalaat al-Jandal road outside Damascus.    

Abo Remmaneh quarter hit by shell

On the other hand, Damascus witnessed a new terrorist attack when a mortar shell- fired by terrorists- hit Abo Remmaneh quarter leaving 9 civilians wounded.

The shell that landed near al-Jahez Park caused also damages to two cars at the scene, a Police Command source said.

Syria is fighting terrorism exported from around 83 countries.

The US, France, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar sponsor the terrorist groups operating in Syria, world media reports say.
