Syrian Arab army restores security to 7 towns in Homs, clashes with terrorists in Der Ezzour and Aleppo

PROVINCES,(ST)_Warplanes and artilleries of the armed forces have bombarded terrorists’ hideouts and weapons in more than 51 areas in five provinces amid reports of restoring stability and security to seven towns in Homs province.

The official news agency (SANA) said today that many hideouts of the terrorists were obliterated in operations launched in around 13 areas in Damascus countryside- in western side of Ma’aloula, Yabroud, Jerod, Adra alBalad, Doma, al-Qasemeyeh, Der Salman,  Daraya, Barzeh, al-Qabon, Jobar- alDyabeyeh, and alZabadani.

12 terrorists killed in Jobar

As many as 20 terrorists died in al-Eb farms in Doma area while 12 others were crushed in Jobar quarter as the armed forces destroyed a weapons-laden car there.

More terrorists, mostly from al-Nusra Front, were also eliminated in  other areas.

Meanwhile, a military source confirmed that the armed forces restored stability and security to seven towns- alMushrefa , Mas’adeh, M’seed, Khattab, Asmad, and the eastern and western Em alHarten- in eastern Homs countryside.

It added that an arms dump was pounded near the cultural center in Talbeseh and wiped out several terrorist groupings in al-Rastan, al-Ghajar, Kesin, Tasnin, al-Dar al-Kabereh, sl-Holeh, al-Ghanto, Talbeseh, al-Hesn, and Ein Hsen areas outside Homs and in quarters of Bab Hod, Joret al-Shayah and al-Qosor in the city.

AAGs and heavy machine guns

The source announced names of five terrorists, including a Saudi and an Emirati, among the dead in the said areas. It noted that other terrorists were mowed down as the armed forces warded off an armed terrorist group’s attack on a garrison on the outskirts of Jabborin town where Anti-Aircraft Gun (AAG) was destroyed.

Another AAG was wiped out in al-Nairab farms outside Aleppo province, as the armed forces continued destroying mortars, machine guns and rocket launchers in towns on al-Jadeded and Kweris and foiling infiltration attempts into safe areas of al-Sheikh Sa’ed, Salaheddin, Assan and the old city of Aleppo.

Moreover, the armed forces eliminated an unknown number of terrorists in Erbis, Rasm alAbbod townsin the same province (Aleppo) and in towns of Mrat and Hatleh in Der Ezzour province as well as in more than 10 areas in Idlib province.

They also clashed with armed terrorist groups in al-Ardi, al-Hweqa and al-Sheikh Yasin quarters in Der Ezzour city.

“Al-Nusra Front Judicial commission”

Last night, the armed forces raided a weapons-laden car and the headquarters of the so-called “al-Nusra Front Judicial commission” in al-Hamedeyeh quarter in the same city.

A field hospital belonging to terrorists near the central park of the city was destroyed. Three identified terrorists perished.

Shells hit Damascus

In a separate incident, at least two citizens wounded when three mortar shells landed in areas of al-Hejaz, al-Marjeh and George Khouri square in the capital [Damascus].

The shells, fired by terrorists, left damages at the scenes, a police command source said. 

The terrorists launched afterwards a shell on al-Qosor quarter in Der Ezzour province killing one citizen and leaving several others wounded.
