Syrian Arab Army Regains Control of Two Towns in Der Ezzour Countryside, Conducts Fresh Concentrated Operations on Syrian-Lebanese Border

PROVINCES,(ST)-Army units have advanced on the western countryside of Der Ezzour province, foiled 40 terrorists’ infiltration bid into Dahr al-Kassar outside Quneitra province and conducted fresh concentrated operations in Damascus countryside province.

The army’s advance on the western countryside of Der Ezzour was manifested in recapturing two towns- Ayyash and alBojem’a-and making al-Khareta, al-Shmeteyeh and Mhemedeh towns under crossfire, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency added that the army units foiled infiltration bid by 40 terrorists from Harsh Tranja into Dahr al-Kassar in Quneitra countryside and carried out fresh concentrated operations in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and on the Syrian-Lebanese border in Damascus countryside

The fresh operations resulted in killing and injuring many terrorists and destroying various types of weapons and munitions for them in al-Mesherfeh, al-Jebbeh, Esal a-Ward and al-Zabadani in al-Qalamoun area as well as in al-Nashabeyeh area in the heart of the eastern Ghouta.

Infiltration bid into Mliha town

At the same time, the army units mowed down many terrorists affiliated to the so-called the ‘Islam Army’ as they were trying to infiltrate into the strategic Mliha town in Damascus countryside.

A hideout for an armed terrorist group belonging to the ‘Islam Army’ was pounded in al-Shefoneyeh farms in the same province [Damascus countryside].

Other hideouts and groups of terrorists were also targeted today in Jobar quarter near Damascus and in Duma area outside Damascus and in several areas outside Homs, Idleb and Daraa provinces as well as in and outside Aleppo province. 

Some 68 terrorists killed

Last night, the army units killed over 50 terrorists and injured dozens in a qualitative operation in Sheikh Sa’eed area in northern Aleppo province.

Eighteen more terrorists died yesterday when the army unit targeted terrorist groupings in the western side of Bosra al-Sham city in southern Daraa province.
