Syrian Arab army recaptures two towns on outskirts of Abu Duhur airbase in Idlib, clashes with terrorists outside Lattakia

PROVINCES,(ST)_Heavy fighting between Syrian army and armed terrorist groups has erupted in the northern countryside of Lattakia amid reports of army’s advance in Idlib countryside.

According to media sources, the heavy fighting was erupted in Ketf al-Remman, Jabal al-Nobeh and surrounding of Salma town in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

But no further details have been reported about the results of the fighting.

Meanwhile, it was reported that Syrian army regained control of al-Hmimat and al-Mestriha on the outskirts of Abu Duhur airbase in southern countryside of Idlib and eliminated dozens of the ISIS terrorists in Raqaa and Der Ezzour provinces.

Uzbek battalion’s leader killed

the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel confirmed the death of the leader of the al-Nusra Front-linked Uzbek battalion, dubbed Abu Khattab al-Uzbaki, during fighting with popular defense forces on the outskirts of Nubul and al-Zahra towns in Aleppo province.

Al-Nusra Front terrorists tried to storm the two towns from the north-eastern edge after they had failed to storm them from the southern and south-eastern edges.

In Ayn al-Arab city north-east Aleppo, A Libyan leader in the ISIS [Known as Daesh in Arabic] , his name Walid al-Jilani, was reportedly killed during the ongoing battles.  

The official news agency (SANA) confirmed continuity of operations against terrorist organizations in Aleppo, Idlib and Daraa where dozens of terrorists were killed.

More terrorists were reportedly mowed down in several towns outside Homs and Hama.
