Syrian Arab army presses ahead in Homs, eliminates dozens of squads

PROVINCES,(ST)_Each day, units of the armed score fresh achievement and stress adherence to their national duty related to defending homeland and citizens and fighting terrorism to restore stability and security all over the country.

Today, the armed forces imposed control over towns of al-Sultaneyeh and Eastern Salam which is affiliated to al-Makhram al-Foqani area outside the central Homs province where unknown number of terrorists were reportedly killed and injured.

Intense operation in Homs

The same province, according to SANA, witnessed intense operations targeting terrorists’ hideouts in quarters of al-Qarabis, Bab Hos,Jeb al-Jendli, Wadi al-Sayeh, al-Qosor, al-Wa’er, al-Warsheh, al-Hamedeyeh, and Joret al-shayyah inside Homs city and in al-Ghanto, al-Rastan, al-Saen – in Talbeseh- and in Taldo, Aqraba, and Kaferlaha- in al-Holeh- outside Homs.

Other operations were carried out in Palmyra against terrorist groupings in al-Tebeh, Mnokh, Abboleh, al-Hardaneh, al-Shoha,  eastern al-Hir palace, and  eastern Salam areas. An unknown number of terrorists were eliminated in the operations. 

51 Explosive devices defused

On the other hand, engineering units defused an explosive device (weighing 30kg) planted by terrorists on Maksar alHsan-Jeb al-Jrah road, while the competent authorities dismantled more than 50 explosive devices in al-Hseneyeh town outside Damascus province .

At least 66 terrorists killed in south provinces

At the same time, it was reported that many squads of foreign nationalities were mowed down in a series of qualitative operations launched in Barzeh, al-Qabon, Harasta, Doma, Der Salman, al-Dyabeyeh, Hajjira, Adra, and Darayya areas.

Well over 16 squads and a ringleader were identified among the dead.

However, in  southern Daraa province, the armed forces crushed roughly 50 terrorists and destroyed their weapons in the city and in towns of Nawa and al-Harra amid reports of killing others in Sahm al-Glan, al-Shajara, Hit, Abdin, Naf’a, Jemleh, Sison, Tafas, Jellin, Tsil, Wadi al-Yarmouk, al-Bsaleh, al-Hanot, and alShabraq towns.

In northern Aleppo province, the operations resulted in destroying several rocket launchers and mortars in Kweris town besides eliminating dozens of thugs inside and ouside the city .

Other thugs perished in different areas in Idlib province.

Elsewhere, a unit of the armed forces clashed with an armed terrorist group that tried to attack a garrison in Melbya area, south of al-Hassaka city.
