Syrian Arab army pounds several terrorist hideouts south Daraa, continues targeting terrorist organizations in Idlib

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has pounded several terrorist hideouts south Daraa and has pressed ahead with pursuing terrorist organizations outside Idlib and Homs, media sources reported Thursday.

The sources said army units carried out a series of operations against terrorist organizations in Khbar al-Shahem town south Daraa, destroying several terrorist hideouts and killing many terrorists.

The town of Khbar al-Shahem is located near the Jordanian al-Terra town and it is a main crossing for swarm of terrorists and arms smuggling.

In the northwestern province of Idlib,  Syria army killed and injured many terrorists in Qminas town, about 6km south-east Idlib city, and in Sejer and Ein Maryin towns, which lie south the city, as well as in Khan al-Sobol area on Aleppo-Homs road, around 15km south Saraqeb.  

Terrorists affiliated to al-Nusra Front and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ movement and other organizations spread in the said towns.

In central Homs province, there were concentrated operations against terrorist organizations in Taldo area in al-Holeh, which lies about 27km north-west Homs city, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency confirmed the death of many terrorists in the operations.

Last night, the Damascus-based al-Watan newspaper quoted Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi as citing that there will be reconciliations in al-Waer quarter and the northern countryside of Homs in the coming days.

The paper, in addition, quoted an opposition member closed to the ‘Hazm’ Movement in Aleppo province as saying that Turkish officers directly lead the battle of breaking the Syrian army’s siege of armed groups-held quarters in Aleppo city.  

Al-Nusra Front attacks Nobul and al-Zahraa from three sides

In another development, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported today that Army’s artilleries hit al-Nusra Front gunmen who attacked Nobul and al-Zahraa towns in Aleppo countryside and killed dozens.

Al-Nusra Front gunmen attacked the two towns from three sides.

On the other hand, the al-Mayaden Channel said that the ‘Islam Army’ took full control of Duma area in Damascus countryside and announced the end of the existence of the ‘Omma Army’ in the area.

Two days ago, the ‘Islam Army’ apprehended two senior leaders in the ‘Omma Army’ in Duma city, dubbed Abi Ali Khebbeyeh and Abi Nazir Khebbeyeh, according to the press office of the ‘Islam Army’.
