Syrian Arab army pounds hideouts for terrorist organizations outside Daraa, Quneitra, Homs, Damascus

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has struck terrorist organizations holed up in several areas outside Damascus, Daraa, Quneitra and Homs and killed many of terrorists, military sources said Tuesday.

The sources confirmed the destruction of many hideouts for terrorists during the strikes.

In details, Syrian army killed and injured many terrorists and pounded their hideouts in farms surrounding Sa’asa’a town in Damascus countryside one day after the army paralyzed the movement of terrorists on the road linking Zakyeh and Khan al-Sheih in western countryside of Damascus.

There has been fierce fighting between Syrian army and armed terrorist organizations about 15 km far away from Damascus suburb of Duma.

Media reports said Syrian army has engaged in fierce fighting with terrorists in the northern entry of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and advanced in the eastern edge of the Ghouta- precisely in Jobar and Ein Tarma, as well as in al-Dekhaneyeh area.

‘Fateh al-Sham’ Leader shot dead

The reports added that Leader of the ‘Fateh al-Sham’ brigade, who also occupied the position of military leader of the so-called the ‘al-Omma Army’ [Nation Army] was shot dead by unknown gunmen in the eastern Ghouta a day after the leader of the so-called the ‘Islam Army’ Zahran Allosh tried to assassinate the ‘Omma army’ leader by two explosive devices planted in his car.

In another development, Syrian army pounded two hideouts for al-Nusra Front terrorists in Nawa and Inkhel towns plus an arms cache for terrorists in Bosra al-Sham in southern Daraa province.

‘Jabhet Thowwar Syria’ sites struck

While in northwestern province of Idlib, Syrian warplanes hit positions of the so-called the ‘Jabhet Thowwar Syria’ in Der Senbol and pounded a hideout for terrorists in Maaret Masrin town in northern countryside of the province.

More hideouts for terrorists in towns of Mashara, Rweheneyeh, Kefrnasej, Tranjeh, Samdaneyeh, Kherbet Seltaheh and Sweseh outside Quneitra and in al-Msherfeh and Mas’adeh towns in eastern countryside of Homs were obliterated by Syrian army.

Many terrorists were killed and injured in the said towns.

In addition, Syrian army repelled terrorists’ infiltration bid from al-Barghoteyeh town into Tal Fritan in eastern countryside of Homs.
