Syrian Arab army nabs 12 terrorists in Homs

PROVINCES,(ST)_Units of the armed forces eliminated on Thursday more than 44 terrorists nationwide and nabbed 12 ones in the central Homs province.

Some of terrorists were reportedly killed in a series of qualitative operations  targeted al-Nusra Front-affiliated terrorist groupings in several areas outside Damascus, Aleppo, Daraa, Homs and Der Ezzour provinces.

The operations also resulted in destroying several mortars and machine guns.  

However, the other terrorists were crushed in clashes broke out in other areas in the said provinces.

As for army’s operations in Quneitra countryside, it was reported that a big quantity of weapons and ammunitions were confiscated in Jabba town.

 A ringleader was killed and several gangsters were arrested in the town.

concerning reports on the death of a prisoner inside Aleppo central prison because of lack of medicine, an official source said: ” these reports are groundless. All types of medicine are available inside the prison.” 

5 shells hit Damascus

In a separate incident, terrorists fired mortar shells on al-abbaseyen , Bab Sharqi , al-Zablatani areas in the capital.

Two shells landed on buses garage in al-abbaseyen area , and near Derar Mosque in Bab Sharqi caused martyrdom of a citizen and left 22 wounded. 

While the other two shells landed on Souq al-Hal in al-Zablatani area left 7 citizens wounded plus massive damages at the scene.

A fifth shell was also landed in the surrounding of Ibn al-Nafis Hospital. No one was hurt.

The units of the armed forces are still hunting down terrorists  everyplace to restore stability and security to the country.
