Syrian Arab Army Mows Down 20 Terrorists in Ambush, Continues Targeting Terrorists—- Hassaka Explosion Kills 5 Citizens
PROVINCES,(ST)_Units of the armed forces have ambushed foreign-backed terrorists on the outskirts of Saidnaya Cherubim outside Damascus province, foiled attempts to detonate booby-traps on Idleb-al-Mastomeh road and obliterates terrorists’ hideouts in Homs, Aleppo and Der Ezzouur provinces.
A military source told the official news agency that as many as 20 terrorists died in the ambush on the main road leading to the Cherubim monastery which enjoys a strategic site in al-Qalamon area outside Damascus.
It confirmed the death of more than 50 terrorists on the surrounding of Saidnaya city in the past three days.
More terrorists, some affiliated to the so-called the ‘Islamic Front’, were reportedly killed in areas of Adra, Duma, Darayya, Jobar, and Erbin in Damascus countryside.
Concurrently, the Syrian TV channel said that the army units thwarted terrorists’ bid to detonate 3 booby-traps planted on al-Mastomeh road and crushed terrorists in 6 areas- Bennesh, Kafr Jales, Ard al-Doseh, Ein Martin, al-Shweha and north of Abo al-Dohor airbase, outside Idleb province.
The operations launched in Idleb countryside coincided with eliminating more terrorists in many flashpoint areas in Aleppo, Homs, Der Ezzour and Daraa provinces.
In addition, the army units destroyed a weapons-loaded truck in Maaaret al-Artiq town outside Aleppo province and warded off attacks on army garrisons on the surrounding of Talbeseh town in Homs province.
Hassak explosion
In a separate development, at least 5 citizens were martyred and 10 other wounded in a car bomb explosion that hit the market in al-Malekeyeh quarter inal- Hassaka province.
A police command source clarified that a suicide bomber blew himself up inside a car bomb in the middle of the market killing 5 citizens, wounding 10 others and causing damages to tens of shops and cars at the scene.
Terrorists target residential areas
Other13 citizens were wounded by mortar shells which landed in residential areas in the capital [Damascus] and in its countryside and in Homs province.
The shells which were fired by terrorists landed in Abo Remmaneh quarter in the capital and in Jaramana city outside Damascus as well as in quarters of al-Insha’at, Karm al-Shami and al-Hamra in Homs province.
The US, France, Britain, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar sponsor the terrorists operating in Syria.
Syria is fighting terrorism exported from around 83 countries, media reports say.
