Syrian Arab army makes progress in Homs’ al-Khaldeyeh quarter

PROVINCES,(ST)_Units of the armed forces have made real progress in al-Khaldeyeh quarter in the central Homs province amid reports of eliminating 10 terrorists of foreign nationalities in the southern Daraa province.

A source at Homs province told SANA that the armed forces had made real progress in al-Khaldeyeh quarter and destroyed several terrorist groupings in Bab Hod quarter and Talbeseh area.

It added that a number of rockets, a rocket launcher, computers, satellite, medicines storeroom, field hospital’s equipment, chemical fertilizer for making booby-traps, and several cars  were found in al-Qaryatayn town and the surrounding farms during mopping-up operations .

15 bandits killed in Damascus countryside

The developments that took place in Homs synchronized with carrying out a series of qualitative operations in the eastern Ghouta and in the southern and Southwestern areas of Damascus countryside.

At least 15 bandits perished in the operations that targeted their hideouts in Qatan, Darayya, Hajjira, al-Dyabeyeh, Doma, Harasta, Erbin, and Khan al-Sheih outside the capital.

Whilst an engineering unit defused two booby-traps weighing 30-60 kg/ each, which were planted by terrorists near Toyota Company on Damascus-Homs highway and seized several hidden cameras there.

Clashes in Aleppo

In the northern Aleppo province, the armed forces and the armed terrorist groups engaged in gun battles in al-Rashedin quarter and in the surrounding farms of Khan al-Assal and al-Klereyeh hill where an unknown number of terrorists were reportedly killed and injured.

More terrorists were crushed in the same province when the armed forces targeted their groupings near Aleppo central prison and in Ein Daqneh town as well as in al-Mansora area.

10 terrorists of foreign nationalities pulverized

However, in the southern Daraa province, a military source confirmed that 10 terrorists from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Libya, Egypt, and Chechnya were among the dead in the operations which targeted terrorists’ hideouts in Daraa al-Balad, al-Jomrok, surrounding of national hospital, al-Naemeh farms, Tsil, Hit, al-Nasereyeh, Sahm al-Golan, Tafas, al-Shajarah, and al-Ajami areas.   

It cited that 13 explosive devices planted by terrorists on Jasem-Semlin road outside Daraa were dismantled by a unit of the armed forces.

Elsewhere, the armed forces shelled terrorists’ hideouts in several areas outside Lattakia and Idlib provinces, killing two terrorist ringleaders and dozens of gangsters.
