Syrian Arab army makes fresh gains in Homs, Idleb and Aleppo
PROVINCES,(ST)_Units of armed forces impose control over Homs-B’albak road and restore security to three towns in the northern provinces.
In details, an official source declared Saturday that the armed forces have imposed control over Homs- B’albak road and eliminated several terrorist groupings in the west and west-south quarters of al-Qsir city in the central Homs province.
It added that fierce clashes broke out between units of armed forces and the terrorist groups in the northern and middle quarters in the same city ended in killing and injuring many of terrorists.
“Several terrorists in the city’s northern and middle quarters have surrendered themselves to the army,” the source said, noting that the units of armed forces have pounded a number of terrorists’ hideouts and weapons in al-Dab’a and al-Hamedeyeh town outside al-Qsir.
The armed forces, in addition, have taken control of northern and western sides of Tal a-Safeneh near al-Hamedeyeh town in al-Qsir countryside.
They arrested three terrorists and confiscated a big quantity of weapons and vehicles during breaking into terrorists’ hideouts between al-Hseneyeh and al-Hamra areas.
On the other hand, a unit of armed forces killed and arrested members of an armed terrorist group, which was trying to enter al-Qsir city, during clashes broken out near salt factory on Damascus-Homs road.
Army takes control of 3 towns
The army’s advance in al-Qsir city coincided with making fresh gains in Idleb and Aleppo provinces through restoring stability and security to towns of al-Shamateyeh and al-Hamedeyeh in Abo al-Dohor countryside (in Idleb) and town of Dahret Abd Rabbo in al-Layramon area (in Aleppo) after cleansing them from terrorists.
Moreover, the units of armed forces targeted terrorist groupings and their weapons near Meneg military airport, Kweres, and central prison in Aleppo.
33 terrorists eliminated
Outside Idleb province, a unit of armed forces destroyed a cache, killed 19 terrorists, and injured 11 others in a qualitative operation in Jabal al-Arba’en mid reports of killing and injuring unknown number of terrorists in Saraqeb, Bennesh, and Sermin areas.
In Der Ezzour province, more than 14 terrorists have been eliminated in al-Mar’eyeh town while three terrorists from al-Nusra Front have been arrested in al-Masrab town.
Adra grain silos under army’s control
Meanwhile, the armed forces in Damascus countryside continue carrying out qualitative operations against terrorist groups in Harasta, Adra, Zamalka, Erbin, al-Dyabeyeh, Doma, Jobar, Barzeh, Rankos, and Darayya areas.
At least 5 terrorist leaders and their men were eliminated in the operations, according to SANA.
In addition, the armed forces imposed control over grain silos and grinders in Adra area.
Other operations were carried out by units of armed forces against terrorist groupings in towns of Jasem, al-Hrak and Em al-Mayaden in the southern Daraa province.
Syria is facing a foreign-backed war that aims to weaken the Syrian Arab army and destroy national economy to serve Israel’s interests in the region.
The US, France, Britain, Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia fund and support the terrorist groups, who perpetrate heinous crimes against citizen and destroy Syria’s infrastructure.
