Syrian Arab army launches preemptive strikes in Aleppo, advances in Damascus countryside

PROVINCES,(ST)_with the passage of everyday, units of the armed forces advance on all fronts, inflicting heavy losses upon foreign-backed terrorists.

Today, the Aleppo central prison-defense forces launched several pre-emptive attacks against terrorist groups in the surrounding areas which resulted in eliminating big number of terrorists and destroying many of their vehicles.

Other terrorists from al-Nusra Front were reportedly crushed by the Meneg airbase-defense forces in Ein al-Daqn town amid reports of shelling a truck laden with weapons and ammunitions near the agricultural research center.

Several ringleaders eliminated in Aleppo

In the same province, clashes continued near al-Rashidin quarter while a unit of the armed forces targeted a gathering of terrorist ringleaders inside a hideout in Qastal harami area in the city. All ringleaders died.

However, in the central Homs province,  the armed forces warded off terrorists’ attack on al-Qamiri town in Talkalkh area and destroyed several terrorist groupings in al-Khaldeyeh, Bab Hod, al-Warsheh, Joret al-Shayyah, al-Hamedeyeh, al-Qarabis, Beit Hajo, Kisin, al-Rastan and Talbeseh areas.

The terrorists’ losses spiralled  as the armed forces operations outside the capital ended in killing more than 24 terrorists in  eastern Ghouta and in the southern area and imposing control over the eastern and western parts of al-Qabon suburb, just 3km to the north-east of Damascus.

An official source told SANA: “The fresh gain comes few days after the army tightened its grip on the industrial al-Qabon area,” adding that several posts on Damascus-Homs highway became under the army’s control.

Shells hit al-Amara quarter

In a separate development, a cowardly attack took place in al-Nahlawi Street in al-Amara quarter in the capital when terrorists fired several mortar shells at residential areas causing the martyrdom of 6 citizens and leaving dozens wounded.

“The wounded were admitted to public and private hospitals,” a source at police command said, noting that the terrorist attack left massive damage at the scene.

Deadly clash between terrorists

Back to developments in other provinces, it was reported that the armed forces pounded many terrorists’ hideouts in quarters of al-Hwiqa, al-Sena’a, al-Ommal, and al-Jabeleh in Der Ezzour province.

An unknown number of terrorists was killed in the said quarters, as deadly clash erupted between two terrorist groups from al-Nusra Front in al-Mayadin city over splitting loots.
