Syrian Arab army kills many of al-Nusra Front terrorists near Syrian-Lebanese border, evacuates 1000 persons from Duma area

PROVINCES,(ST)_ Syrian army has ensured safe exit to 1000 persons from the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and killed many of al-Nusra Front terrorists near Syrian-Lebanese border, media sources said Saturday.  

The sources clarified that army units evacuated today morning 1000 persons, most of them women and children, from Hosh al-Fara, Hosh Nasri and Mid’ani towns in Duma area outside Damascus through Adra al-Balad road.

“The persons were conveyed to a shelter in Daheyet Qedsaya in the western countryside of Damascus and they were provided with basic needs,” a police command source told the official news agency (SANA). 

The agency indicated that the persons fled their houses because of the Takfiri terrorist organizations’ practices in Duma area.

The evacuation process synchronized with continuity of military operations against terrorist organizations in several areas outside Daraa, Quneitra and Homs.

Many of al-Nusra Front terrorists were killed as Syrian army targeted their groupings in an area located east al-Mdawwer town on Syrian-Lebanese border, about 40km south-west Homs city, according to a military source.

The source added that army units targeted terrorist groupings in Rajm al-Qasr and al-Amereyeh towns in the eastern countryside of Homs.

Moreover, army units struck terrorist hideouts in Mas’hara town and surrounding hills and al-Memtneh and Tal al-Bzaq in Quneitra countryside and in Bosra al-Sham and al-Jeza town in Daraa countryside as well as in Sahlal-Roj, Abo Duhur, Tal Salmo, Bennesh, Kafr Tkharim and Arminaz areas outside Idlib.

Terrorist organizations announced through social networks that one of al-Nusra Front field commanders, Mohammad Khalil, was killed near al-Janodeyeh junction outside Jesr al-Shogour in Idlib countryside.

9 people died after inhaling poisonous gas in Der Ezzour

On the other hand, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that 9 people died and 25 others became ill after inhaling poisonous gas which was loaded on a truck belonging to gunmen in Der Ezzour countryside.
