Syrian Arab army kills large numbers of terrorists in Aleppo and Lattakia, strikes ISIL in Der Ezzour

PROVINCES,(ST)_Several positions for the ISIL in Der Ezzour city have been struck amid continuity of military operations against the other armed terrorist organizations in Aleppo and outside Homs, Daraa, Quneitra, Idlib and Lattakia.

According to the official news agency (SANA), Syrian army pounded several hideouts for terrorists belonging to the so-called the ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL) in quarters of Hweqa, Reshdeyeh and Ardi in Der Ezzour, killing many terrorists, most of them non-Syrians.  

Other hideouts for terrorists in several areas in and outside Aleppo and in Homs countryside as well as in Em Batneh and Bear Ajam towns in Quneitra countryside were also obliterated today.

15 cars for terrorists destroyed

In addition, Syrian army destroyed two cars equipped with heavy machineguns for terrorists in Der Ezzour plus three weapons-laden cars in Der Hafer in Aleppo countryside.

While in Aleppo city, precisely in Sekkari quarter, Syrian army wiped out ten cars for terrorists, the agency reported, pointing out that all terrorists inside he cars died.

More terrorists were mowed down as Syrian army warded off infiltration attempt from Jesr al-Khrab into farms of al-Waer quarter in Homs.

A military source declared that the army units conducted a series of operations against terrorist groups in al-Farhaneyeh town and targeted terrorist groupings in towns of Rhom, Enq al-Hawa, Salam Gharbi and Talbeseh outside Homs.

In northern countryside of Lattakia, Syrian army eliminated large numbers of terrorists and destroyed an arms dump for them in Khan al-Joz town.

Fresh progress in Hama countryside

Syrian army made a fresh progress in Hama countryside a day after recapturing Helfaya town and its surrounding.

“Syrian army restored stability and peace to towns of Tebet al-Imam, Lwebdeh and Zour Abo Zied as well as Helfaya bridge in northern countryside of Hama,” SANA said. 

Clash between Nusra Front and ‘Jabhet Thowwar Syria’

On the other hand, al-Nusra Front killed one of the ringleaders of the ‘Jabhet Thowwar Syria’ and held his brother as hostage during an attack on the headquarters of the ‘Jabhet Thowwar Syria’ near al-Bale’a town west Idlib.

Khaled Ma’arouf , son of the ‘Jabhet Thowwar Syria’ ‘s Leader, was among terrorists killed in a car bomb blast at a checkpoint for the’Jabhet Thowwar Syria’ at western entrance of Der Sonbol town in Idlib countryside. 

The car bomb blast was carried out by a terrorist group.
