PROVINCES,(ST)_Emir of al-Nusra Front in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus has been killed in today’s clashes with the army units amid reports of seizing 80kgs of explosives in Homs province and destroying a Saudi-made equipment in Daraa province.
A military source confirmed that Abdulaziz Armosh [ known as Abo al-Fawz al-Ansari], who is one of the top ringleaders of al-Nusra Front in Syria and the Emir of al-Nusra Front in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, was killed in today’s clashes.
Many terrorists were also killed and injured in the clashes.
80kg of explosives seized
Concurrently, the competent authorities confiscated 80 kg of TNT explosives inside a car loaded with fruits and vegetables on the outskirts of al-Waer quarter in Homs city.
Other materials that are used in making booby traps were also found in the car, the official news agency (SANA) said.
The agency quoted a military source as saying that the army units foiled terrorists’ infiltration bid from al-Ghajar and Hosh al-Taleb towns into al-Wa’ara town in al-Rastan city outside Homs where dozens of terrorists were mowed down.
The source added that the army units targeted terrorist groupings in Kisin [in al-Rastan], Berj Qa’ee [ in al-Holeh] and to the east of Salam Sharqi and Enq al-Hawa in the eastern countryside of Homs.
More terrorist groupings in over than 28 flashpoint areas in and outside Aleppo province were shelled by the army units.
An unknown number of terrorists died in the said areas.
While in southern Daraa province, the army units struck a hideout for terrorists containing Saudi-made equipment in the eastern side of al-Tef town in al-Lajah area.
