Syrian Arab army kills 13 terrorists linked to ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ in Idlib, ambushes terrorist leaders in Qalamoun area
PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed 13 terrorists affiliated to the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ Movement in Idlib countryside and has ambushed terrorist ringleaders in al-Qalamoun area outside Damascus, media sources reported Monday.
The 13 terrorists were killed when Syrian army targeted the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ groupings on the outskirts of Taftanaz area, which lies 17 km far away from Idlib city on Aleppo-Idlib road.
The ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ Movement is supported by Saudi and Qatari regimes and it includes Takfiri mercenaries of various nationals infiltrated through Turkish border.
In the same province [Idlib], Syrian army destroyed a terrorist hideout belonging to the al-Nusra Front in Ma’arret Mesrin town, about 9km north Idlib city, and struck terrorist groupings in al-Hoti, al-Mjas and Hmimat al-Dayer towns, according to the official news agency (SANA).
8 al-Nusra Front terrorists killed in Bosra al-Sham city
The agency added that Syrian army killed 8 terrorists in Bosra al-Sham city in Daraa province and destroyed 9 vehicles, some of them loaded with weapons, on Ghareyeh Gharbeyeh-Alma road in the same province.
An arms cache belonging to terrorists in Ibta’a town that is located between al-Sheikh Meskin and Da’el towns was wiped out by Syrian army, SANA said, pointing out that army units carried out operations against terrorist organizations in Semlin, Zemrin and Ksif al-Sen towns and Daraa al-Balad.
While the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that Syrian army killed many al-Nusra Front terrorists in clashes in Bosra al-Sham city outside Daraa.
ISIS disperses protests in Aleppo countryside
It confirmed that Syrian army set up an ambush for gunmen leaders in Jorod Esal al-Ward in al-Qalamoun area in Damascus countryside
On the other hand, al-Mayadeen TV channel said that ISIS gunmen fired shots into the air to disperse protest in Jrablos city in Aleppo countryside.
In central Homs province, Syrian army targeted terrorist groupings is al-Rastan area, about 24 km north Homs, and in the eastern countryside of the province as well as in al-Waer quarter in the city.
Syrian army, in addition, struck terrorist hideout and groupings in Mas’hara and Nab’a al-Sakher towns outside Quneitra and killed many terrorists there.
5 cars loaded with missiles seized outside Hama
In another development, the Syrian TV channel reported that an army unit in cooperation with national defense groups seized 5 cars loaded with missiles and weapons near al-Sabbora town in the eastern countryside of Hama.
The cars were seized in an ambush set up for a terrorist group.
The seized weapons, which came from Turkey and were hidden under Saudi aid boxes, included 40 GRAD missiles, 107mm missiles, 2 mortars, shells, munitions, satellite devices and Saudi medical and food items.
