Syrian Arab Army Kill 36 Terrorists in Homs’ Al-Zara Town— Search Operation in Harasta Area

PROVINCES,(ST)_ Accurate search  operation is being carried out in Harasta area outside Damascus, as the army units inflict heavy losses upon foreign-backed terrorists across the country.

The official news agency said on Monday that engineering units started defusing explosive devices in the western side of Harasta area, to the west of the international highway, adjacent to farms of al-Qabon and Barzeh quarters in an accurate search operation.

The operation is being carried out after completing a national reconciliation in the said area to pave the ground for the return of the locals to their homes there.

Meanwhile, the army units killed 20 terrorists affiliated to the so-called ‘al-Sahabeh’ battalions and brigades in Khan al-Sheih area and its farms.

They pounded armed terrorist groups’ hideouts in Darayya, al-Zabadani, and WadiMousa in al-Tal area and eliminated terrorist groups in Jobar, al-Mleha, Deir al-Asafir, Zebdin, Saqba, Erbin, Duma and Adra areas in the same province [Damascus countryside].

More terrorists were killed and a large quantity of weapons was destroyed in a series of operations in around 22 areas in Aleppo province, 11 areas in Idleb province and in several areas in provinces of Der Ezzour, al-Hassaka and Daraa.

The terrorist lost more weapons as the army units destroyed a weapons-laden car near Salim town in Talbeseh area in central Homs province, according to a military source.

The source added that 36 terrorists died, mostly of Lebanese, Saudi and Chechen nationalities, in al-Zara town. It noted that several hideouts for terrorists were obliterated in al-Dar al-Kabira and al-Khaledeyeh towns.

Terrorists’ bid to detonate two explosive devices on the road linking between al-Mas’odeyeh and Abo al-Alaya towns was foiled, the source said.

It added that the army unit killed terrorists who infiltrated into towns of al-Arshoneh and Salam Gharbi in the eastern countryside of Homs.

Terrorists assassinate Judge and tribe’s dignitary

In a separate development, the official agency said that terrorists assassinated the chief of criminal court in Der Ezzour and one of the dignitaries of Bkaret al-Jabal tribe in Al-Hassakeh province.

The terrorists also fired shells on Jaramana and Harasta areas outside Damascus and on MasakenBarzeh area in the capital [Damascus].

At least 11 citizens were wounded by the shells which hit police hospital in Harasta area and urban areas in Jaramana city, according o a police command source.

Syria is fighting terrorism exported from around 83 countries.

The US, France, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar sponsor the terrorist groups operating in Syria, according to world media reports.
