Syrian Arab army intercepts a wide-scale terrorist attack in Lattakia’s northern countryside

Lattakia (ST): Syrian Arab army units stationed in the northern countryside of Lattakia city intercepted a wide-scale attack launched by terrorist organizations against some military positions to the north of al-Rabieah town inflicting huge human and material losses upon them.

A military source said that at 9 am today , a number of terrorist groups, backed by the Turkish regime, launched a large scale attack against some military positions to the north of al-Rabieah town in Lattakia’s northern countryside using various kinds of light and medium weapons and mortar bombs.

The source added that our forces intercepted the attack and inflicted huge human and material losses upon the terrorists.

A number of terrorist groups, affiliated mainly to al-Nosra Front, and backed by the Turkish regime, deploy in Lattakia’s northern countryside. These groups have recurrently attacked nearby villages and military positions in the region.
