Syrian Arab army intensifies operations against terrorists near Damascus, eliminates 16 foreign ringleaders in Idlib

PROVINCES,(ST)_Army units  have launched intensified operations against terrorist groups  in Jobar quarter near Damascus, a military source declared Thursday.

The source was quoted on the official news agency (SANA) as saying that the army units intensified operations against terrorist groupings on several axes in Jobar quarter near Damascus and in several areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus where large numbers of terrorists were killed.

“The ongoing operations that launched today before noon resulted in making a remarkable advance,” the source confirmed, pointing out that similar operations were also carried out on Erbin and Zamalka axes.

But no further details were reported yet.

Bomb-making factory destroyed

Coinciding with the operations, the army units destroyed a bomb-making factory in the ‘al-Zohor’ Street in Khan al-Sheih area in Damascus countryside, eliminated 16 foreign terrorist ringleaders outside Idlib and obliterated hideouts for ISIL-linked terrorists in towns of Mohasan and al-Mre’eyeh in Der Ezzour.

“The 16 foreign terrorist ringleaders died as an army unit targeted a hideout for terrorists near Benin town in Jabal al-Zaweyeh outside Idlib,” the agency said, adding that a depot containing mortar rounds plus cars equipped with heavy machineguns for terrorists were destroyed in the same area.

Some 15 terrorists killed inside hideout  

In addition, the army units struck a hideout for terrorists belonging to the so-called the ‘Jabhet Thowwar Sorya’ [Syria’s Fighters Front] on the outskirts of al-M’arra hill outside Idlib and killed at least 15 terrorists inside a hideout in Em al-Sharshout town outside Homs.

There were also military operations against terrorist groupings in several areas in Daraa, Quneitra and Aleppo provinces.
