Syrian Arab army inflicts big losses upon terrorists near Syrian-Lebanese border and in Homs countryside, advances in Hassaka
PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists organizations near the Syria-Lebanese border and in Homs countryside, as it advances in the western countryside of Hassaka, according to media sources.
The official news agency (SANA) said today that Syrian army carried out concentrated operations against terrorist organizations’ sites in Kherbet Beit Laha town near the Syrian-Lebanese border and in towns of Khatamlo and Beit Rab’a in Homs countryside.
Beit Rab’a town is located 24km north Homs, while Khatamlo town is located 43km east Homs city.
100 ISIS terrorists killed in Dear Ezzour airbase battles
Meanwhile, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel said that Syrian army recaptures towns of al-Siha and Toq al-Maleh in the western countryside of Hassaka and killed many ISIS terrorists after it foiled ISIS attack on Der Ezzour airbase
Over 100 terrorists affiliated to the ISIS [its acronym in Arabic is Daesh] were killed during the first attack on the airbase, the TV channel added, indicating that the ISIS leader in Der Ezzour, dubbed Abo Nosayba al-Libi, ordered to kill any element trying to flee the ongoing battles in Der Ezzour airbase.
It confirmed that the ISIS pulled back from all points into which it advanced earlier and pulled the dead bodies to Iraqi lands.
Terrorists blast historic mosque in Aleppo
While in northern Aleppo province, an explosion was heard on the outskirts of Aleppo citadel amid clashes between Syrian army and terrorists.
SANA reporter in Aleppo clarified that Takfiri terrorist organizations exploded the historic ‘al-Seltaneyeh’ mosque in the old city of Aleppo.
In addition, there were clashes between the ‘Islamic Front’ and the ISIS on Soran-Ehtmilat road in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
In southern Daraa province, Syrian army continued targeting terrorist organizations in al-Sheikh Meskin and Ibta’a towns and killed many terrorists there.
