Syrian Arab army inflicts big losses upon ISIS in Homs, and relative calm prevails in Flita town on Syrian-Lebanese border

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has inflicted heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Homs and had killed 3 terrorist ringleaders in Quneitra amid reports of foiling al-Nusra Front attack on a site on Syrian-Lebanese border.

In details, Syrian army carried out intensified strikes against ISIS sites in Rhom town and killed many terrorists, a military source declared Saturday.

It added that army units targeted sites of the ‘al-Nusra for Ahl al-Sham’ Front and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ Movement in Enq al-Hawa town, east Homs city, and eliminated many terrorists affiliated to the ‘al-Nusra Front’, the ‘Homs’ Legion and  the ‘al-Farouq’ battalions in al-Rastan area in the northern countryside of Homs.

While in Quneitra province, Syrian army conducted a qualitative operation against terrorist groupings on the outskirts of the ‘Em al-Batneh’ School- west Quneitra city- where  large numbers of terrorists including three ringleaders were killed and a rocket launcher was destroyed.

There were also other military operations against terrorist organizations outside Daraa and Idlib, according to the official news agency (SANA), which confirmed the death of many terrorists in the operations.

The agency indicated that army units killed more terrorists and destroyed weapons and munitions belonging to them north Beit Jen area, which lies 1km far away from the occupied Golan.

Dozens of al-Nusra Front terrorists killed   

In another development, relative calm prevails in Jrod Flita town after Syrian army and Hezbollah foiled al-Nusra Front’s attack on a site in the town that lies on Syrian-Lebanese border, according to the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel.  .

“Dozens of al-Nusra Front gunmen were killed in the clashes,” al-Mayadeen said, adding that several ISIS organization’s gunmen were killed and injured as Syrian army warded off the organization’s attack on towns in the western countryside of Der Ezzour .

It confirmed that a heavy fighting erupted between gunmen affiliated to al-Nusra Front and the Islamic Front on one hand and the ISIS on the other near Mare’a town outside Aleppo.
