Syrian Arab army ‘inching closer’ to al-Qsir city

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian Arab army is inching closer to al-Qsir city in Homs and continue haunting down foreign-backed terrorists outside Damascus and in north and south provinces.

Today(Wednesday), units of armed forces imposed control over al-Shomareya village and al-Kerdi farm in al-Qsir city and lift terrorists’ siege on al-Ghassaneya and al-Haydareya villages.

A military source said that the armed forces have hunted down the terrorists, who flee from al-Qsir near Shamsin village, and killed many of them.

As for the army’s operations outside the capital, SANA reported that several terrorist groupings have been targeted in Adra, al-Nabek, Rankos, Esal al-Wared, al-Qalamon areas.

Unknown number of al-Nusra Front-affilated terrorists were killed in the operations.

In addition, more terrorists were killed when the car which they were booby-trapping blasted.

Moving towards the country’s north, it was reported that two rocket launchers and four mortars were destroyed in al-Msalmeyeh and al-Alqameya areas in Aleppo countryside.

The armed forces also targeted terrorist groupings in Sheikh Sa’ed and Khan al-Assal areas and near Meneg military airport.

Meanwhile, units of armed forces shelled al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists in Idleb and Lattakia countryside.

Syria is facing a foreign-backed war that aims to weaken the Syrian Arab army and destroy national economy to serve Israel’s interests in the region.

The US, France, Britain, Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia fund and support the terrorist groups, who perpetrate heinous crimes against citizen and destroy Syria’s infrastructure
