Syrian Arab army foils attacks on airbases, advances in Handarat camp battle with terrorists

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has destroyed an armored car bomb north Der Ezzour airbase and has foiled terrorists’ infiltration bid into Abu Duhur airbase in Idlib countryside, military sources declared Friday.

The armored car bomb was belonging to the ISIS [terror organization known as Daesh in Arabic] and it was destroyed in Beit Dghem town which is located north Der Ezzour airbase.

Many terrorists were killed and injured in the destruction of the car bomb.

Add to that, dozens of terrorists were eliminated when Syrian army foiled infiltration attempts into Abu Duhur airbase and into some military posts in Areha area outside Idlib.

Unrelenting operations

The same province [Idlib] witnessed operations against terrorist organizations in Tal Salmo, al-Debsheyeh, Talab, Em Jerin, al-Baragheti, Kafr Lata, Sermin, Saraqeb and Me’azaf towns where several cars equipped with heavy machine guns and an arms depot were wiped out.

Other operations were carried out by Syrian army in Arshoneh and Salam Gharbi towns in the eastern countryside of Homs and in Em Sharshouh, Abo al-Salasel, al-Amereyh, and Hosh Hajjo outside Homs as well as in al-Sheikh Meskin, Bosra al-Sham, Tisya and al-Ghareyeh al-Gharbeyeh towns in Daraa countryside.

Many terrorists were killed and injured in the said towns, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency indicated that army units mowed down many terrorists and destroyed several vehicles belonging to them in al-Bweda town, which lies west al-Darkhabeyeh town outside Damascus.

While the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that Syrian army regained control of Iron Factory and part of Handarat camp north-east Aleppo.

33 ISIS terrorists died  

It added that as many as 33 gunmen affiliated to the ISIS were killed in clashes with the Kurdish People’s protection units in Ayn al-Arab city north-east Syria.
