Syrian Arab Army Eliminates Terrorists in Lattakia Countryside, Thwarts Infiltration Bid into Town in Quneitra

PROVINCES,(ST)_The army units have killed a number of terrorists outside Lattakia province, conducted concentrated operations outside Damascus and foiled infiltration bid into town in Quneitra province, the official news agency (SANA) reports.

In details, the agency quoted a military source as citing that the army units targeted today terrorist groupings in towns of al-Qantara, Beit Shrouq and Jabal al-Koz in northern countryside of Lattakia.

A number of terrorists died in the said areas, according to the source that confirmed foiling terrorists’ infiltration bid into al-Dwayeh al-Soghra town in the southern countryside of Quneitra.

An anti-tank guided missile launcher for terrorists was destroyed during the infiltration attempt, the military source said.

Almost 25 terrorists killed in Homs

 In a further development, a source at Homs province was quoted on the  agency as saying that an army unit mowed down about 10 terrorists and hit several others in al-Waer quarter.

 It added that other 15 terrorists were eliminated and three cars were destroyed by another army unit in Hosh Qaswat in al-Saen area outside Homs.

“The 15 terrorists were killed as they were digging a trench and setting up fortifications in the said area,” SANA clarified.

More terrorists were eliminated in towns of Kaferlaha, Enq al-Hawa and al-Rastan area in the same province [Homs].

Concentrated operation

Meanwhile, the army units inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in a series of concentrated operations in Jobar, Duma, the eastern Ghouta, Darayya, al-Zabadani and al-Qalamon in Damascus countryside.

The hideouts targeted by the army units to the east of Jobar quarter, were for al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists, according to SANA.

Many terrorists perished in Jobar quarter, as an army unit killed ringleader of the so-called the ‘al-Ansar’ brigade with all bandits in Alya farms of Duma area.

Clashes

Clashes flared up between the army units and armed terrorist groups in Harasta and Darayya areas outside Damascus and in al-Jbeleh quarter in Der Ezzour province.

The clashes coincided with military operations against terrorist groupings in al-Sarkha farms, to the south-west of Yabroud city, and to the east of al-Rhebeh town in al-Qalamon area where many terrorists were killed and a quantity of weapons were destroyed.

Elsewhere, the army units mowed down many terrorists in several areas in Daraa, Aleppo, Der Ezzour and Idleb provinces.
