PROVINCES,(ST)_Scores of terrorists have been eliminated in a series of qualitative operations carried out by the army units in around 50 areas outside Damascus and Hama provinces and in Aleppo, Homs and Daraa provinces, according to the official news agency.
The agency confirmed that most of the terrorists who died in Monday’s operations were from al-Nusra Front, the ‘Islamic Front’, ‘al-Mo’ataz Bellah’ brigade and ‘Jondellah’ brigade.
The operations were carried out against terrorist groupings in more than 21 contested areas in al-Qalamon area and the eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside, 3 areas in southern Daraa province, 18 areas in northern Aleppo province, 4 areas in central Homs province and 1 area outside Hama province.
Eastern Ghouta and al-Qalamon
In details, the army units killed and injured armed terrorists in farms of Mo’addameyet al-Qalamon, al-Rhebeh and junction of Jab’adin, al-Jebbeh and Hosh Arab in Damascus countryside.
The army destroyed 3 cars equipped with heavy machineguns plus hideouts for terrorists and eliminated many terrorists, mostly from al-Nusra Front, inside Yabroud city, Rima farms and to the north-west of al-Sahl town as well as in al-Mesherfeh town in al-Qalamon area outside Damascus province.
More terrorists perished to the east of Cherubim Monastery in Saidnaya city and in areas of Khan al-Sheih, Der Khebyeh, Darayya, al-Nashabeyeh, Kafr Batna, al-Mleha, Zebdin, Der al-Asafir, Alya farms, Erbin and Adra.
Northern and southern provinces
The terrorists lost more bandits in southern Daraa province when the army units targeted hideouts for the so-called ‘al-Mo’ataz Bellah’ brigade in Othman town and in the surrounding Daraa central prison as well as in Tareq al-Sad quarter.
A large chunk of weapons were wiped out not only in the said areas but also in the industrial city and al-Sheikh Saed factories as well as in towns of Ebtin and Dar Ezze in northern Aleppo province where the army units targeted an arms cache and weapons-laden cars and munitions.
A military source declared that the army units crushed terrorist groupings in towns of Rasm al-Abbod, Jdedet Kweris, Enjara, Hritan, Hayyan and in areas of al-Kastilo, al-Sekkari, old city, Bestan al-Qasr, al-Hawoz, al-Zebdeyeh and in surrounding of Aleppo central prison and al-Zarzour hospital in the same province [Aleppo].
Failed attacks on garrisons
Around 140km to the south of Aleppo province, precisely in Hama province, the army units conducted a qualitative operation against terrorist groupings in Morek town, killing and injuring tens of terrorists.
They also warded off an attack by armed terrorist groups on garrisons in the same town [Morek], according to a military source.
The source announced names of a Saudi terrorist and another one belonging to the so-called ‘Jondellah’ brigade among the dead there.
It cited that the army units defused 75 explosive devices, weighing 40-60 kg/each, which were planted by terrorists on the road linking between Hama and Morek.
Explosion hit Homs
However, in central Homs province, the army units foiled armed terrorist groups’ infiltration bids into towns of Abo al-Rish, Em al-Hartin al-Sharqeyeh and Khattab, destroyed cars for terrorists in al-Ghanto town and struck terrorist groupings and hideouts in Beir Jbab, al-Zara and al-Khaledeyeh towns.
An explosion hit the city of Homs when terrorists exploded a car bomb at al-Fakhora square causing material damages at the scene without casualties, according to Alikhbaria al-Soreyeh TV channel.
At least 8 citizens wounded by mortar attack
Another terrorist attack happened when 7 shells-fired by terrorist groups- landed on quarters of al-Jam’eyat and al-Baladeyeh [municipality] and on the main square, al-Soyouf square and schools Street in Jaramana district, around 7km to the south-east of Damascus.
At least 8 citizens were wounded by the mortar attack which caused damages to ‘Martyr Zahi al-Samin’ School and to citizens’ homes at the scenes, a police command source said.
Syria is fighting terrorism exported from around 83 countries.
The US, France, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar sponsor the terrorists operating in Syria, world media reports say.
The latest western statistics show that 14.000 Chechen terrorists plus 12.000 Saudi terrorists are fighting in Syria, noting that well over 7671 of them have been killed so far.
