Syrian Arab army destroy terrorists’ arms caches outside Damascus

POVINCES,(ST)_Units of armed forces have destroyed several  arms cashes of terrorists outside the capital and foil a terrorist group’s bid to sneak from the Lebanese Irsal town into al-Qusayr countryside in Homs province.

According to SANA, the armed forces destroyed today three facilities for producing explosive devices and mortar shells in Doma suburb and arms cache in the western-southern farms of Barzeh quarter outside Damascus.

The same province has seen intense clashed in al-Mleha, al-Tal, Harsta,and Jobar areas ended in killing and injuring many  terrorist leaders and their men amid reports of targeting terrorist groupings in al-Dyabyeh and Khan al-Sheih areas.

The army’s operations in Damascus countryside coincided with targeting terrorists’ hideouts in the northern Aleppo province and its countryside.

Unknown number of terrorists was eliminated and their weapons were destroyed near the central prison, Meneg military airbase, on Aleppo-Idleb road and in Hritan and Kafernaha towns.

In the second northern province, Idlib, the armed forces pounded several terrorists’ hideouts in areas of al-Nayrab, Kafr Rohin, Taftinaz, Jabal al-Arba’en, Sermin, Kafr Batteh, Jesr al-Shogour, Maarret al-Noaman, and Bennesh .

It was also reported that a unit of armed forces has killed members of a terrorist group that tried to sneak into Abo al-Dohor airport in Idlib province, while another unit in the north-east al-Hasaka province confronted a terrorist group’s attack on a military checkpoint in the western al-Nashweh alley.

However, the focus is still on developments in al-Qusayr city in the central Homs province where the foreign-backed terrorists are getting knockout blows from the Syrian Arab army. 

Alikhbara TV channel’s correspondent martyred

Today dawn, unit of armed forces repelled a terrorist group’s attempt to infiltrate from the Lebanese Irsal town through Kherbet al-Akkareyeh-al-Abbodeyeh route into al-Qusayr countryside.

An official source told SANA that most of the terrorist group’s members were eliminated.

On the other hand, correspondent of the Syrian Alikhbaria al-Soreyeh TV channel, Yara Abbas, was martyred and the cameraman wounded as terrorists opened fire on the TV team while they were covering clashes near al-Dab’a military airbase outside al-Qusayr.

Information Minister, Omran al-Zou’bi commented on this attack by saying: “we have lost an active reporter. She (Yara) knew that she might be martyred during her task. The Syria media has been targeted because it has moved forward in its national tasks.”

6 citizens martyred, 40 wounded in Homs blast

In a separate incident, terrorists exploded a car near “Majestic” fuel station in al-Waer alley in Homs city.

The terrorist blast claimed the lives of 6 martyrs and left 40 wounded  plus causing a huge  damage at the scene.

“The blast aims to obstacle competent authorities’ efforts to restore stability and security to the alley,” an official source said.

Meanwhile, terrorists opened fire at a mini bus in northern entrance to Damascus (near Harasta’s western farms) leaving  4 citizens  wounded

“The wounded were admitted  to a hospital,” an official source said.

Last night, a booby-trapped car blasted in al-Kesweh area outside Damascus causing martyrdom of 6 citizens and 15 wounded.

The terrorist blast, in addition, left serious damages at the scene.
