The Syrian Arab Army units deployed today in four new villages in Ras al-Ain area, reducing the distance to a few kilometers towards the Turkish border.
SANA correspondent in al-Hassaka said that army advanced from Tal Tamr axis in the northern countryside of al-Hassaka towards the border with Turkey and deployed in the villages of Um Harmala, Bab al-Khair, Um Eshba and Asadiya in the southeastern countryside of Ras al-Ayn.
SANA correspondent pointed to the clashes between the army units deployed in the area of Ras al-Ayn and the Turkish occupation forces that assaulted the area during the deployment operation.
SDF groups began withdrawing from the border between Syria and Turkey at a depth of 32 km to implement Sochi items, the correspondent said.
An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates told SANA that the Syrian Arab Republic welcomes the withdrawal of armed groups in the north of Syria to a depth of 30 kilometers, in direct coordination with the Syrian Arab Army, thus withdrawing the basic pretext for the brutal Turkish aggression on the Syrian territory.
The Army units deployed on Saturday in 11 villages on the axis of Tal Tamr-Ras Al-Aynroad, which are Qasimiya, Rashidiya, Daoudia, Aziziyah, Sibatiya, Al-Jamiliya, Khirbet Al-Dibs, Al-Dhahra, Abu Rasin, Al-Arishha and Al-Kisra, thus reaching the outskirts of the Syrian Turkish borders in parallel with patrols of the Russian military police and the Syrian army on Tal Tamr-Rasal-Ain road.
